loved the story line & that it had a lot of action
hoping this two soul will be together after they crossing the storm in there life ,I feel sad for both of them...............
I need to talk about the pacing here because it's absolutely relentless in the best way. Chapter 23 starts with the hunt already in motion. No preamble, no setup—we're dropped into a subway tunnel with two Barons sprinting for their lives and eight Blood Thralls in tow. Within minutes, stones are shattering skulls and the pace only accelerates. Each whoosh of a projectile, each collapsing body, each pause where Lu Qing absorbs power—it's choreographed like a fight scene in an action movie where the camera never stops moving. Then Chapter 24 does something clever. It slows down after the Viscount evolution, giving us the system prompts, the ability description, the power level breakdown. This is the breathing room. The calm before the storm. And then—A Yu appears. A vampire fanatic with a phone. This is where the pacing gets really smart because it shifts from pure action to something almost comedic. The tension deflates for a second, we get some dark humor with the hypnosis and selfie moment, and then we're back to the real threat with the orphanage mention. Chapter 25 opens with coffin-sleep worldbuilding, which is a deliberate deceleration. But by then, the orphanage threat is already burning in my brain. The author knows exactly when to speed up and when to let you catch your breath. I stayed up way too late reading this.
Almost 400 chapters slow updates and a lot of repetition
