Let me just say this outright: the stakes in this scene are absolutely terrifying and I am NOT okay. Here's what's actually at risk, because the book wants us to feel like this is just a simple identity swap and it is NOT: Xianzhu is stealing the destiny of a real human being. Not a placeholder. Not a convenient plot device. Yu Xian'er is a fourteen-year-old girl who has her own life, her own family bonds, her own future — and this ritual is going to erase all of it. The book even tells us what happens if fate truly forbids this: "Jing Zhonghua's displaced child-bond would have stirred." The ancestors themselves would reject it. But they don't. The tablet stays silent. Which means Heaven has been fooled — or worse, bought. And Yu Sangsang? She's the wildcard nobody knows about. She witnessed the entire ritual from outside her body. I give this book 10 stars..this book is bar far the best book I read ever and I read a lot, lot, lot,..this book has made me cry many times through out the book a very sad but very happy book at the same time.. I want to say thank you to the author this is my favorite book i ever read ...more pls

I give this book zero stars because the book is not complete. 1/3 of the way through the author changes the book and uploads chapters for a completely different story. Fix this and maybe you can get someone to read it.
