Good plot to be started... keeps me read it. Still ongoing to be said but there's no an updates?
I hope we don't invest time reading these books, and the writer stops writing it. I have had that happen after investing months reading, and the author stopped writing. I deleted the site from my phone. That is the reason I don't like read these books that are not completed.
Nice write up, hun ?
intruiging... please upload more chapters
Okay so this plot twist is absolutely hilarious and I can't stop thinking about it. The boss—Wen Shihan, formerly a terrifying CEO who once wanted to send a manager to prison for embezzling one million—now has literally zero money in all his accounts because he gave everything to his wife. And what does he do now? He follows her around checking meters and delivering rent bills like some kind of bewildered sidekick. The irony is chef's kiss. There's this one moment where he tries to pay for ice cream and his phone says 'Insufficient balance' and Xia Zhi is just standing there processing that her forty-five-year-old self apparently won't even give him fifty yuan. The plot keeps these little comedic landmines dropping and I'm here for it. Also the whole setup of Xia Zhi owning eight residential buildings plus an office building in just one neighborhood is wild. She went from commuting two hours on the subway to being a literal property tycoon, and the narrative doesn't even treat it like a big deal—it's just her Tuesday now. The story structure here is doing something really clever: it's using domestic comedy to explore what happens when power dynamics completely flip. Wen Shihan built an empire, lost control of his finances, and now he's essentially a kept man at fifty. That's not just funny, that's a whole thematic statement about marriage, trust, and who really holds the power.
Fantastic story!!! Love it as much as I love The Lycan King’s Assassin (which should be read before this book as this book is a continuation of that world and timeline, such a good read and completed! For those that hate waiting for chapters to upload, lol)
Its an interesting book... the author just needs a more captivating pen name
