It's kind of nice...? There are only up to episode 28 so far, but that's okay. I love the world they've built; it's fascinating. Recently, I've been reading a lot of heavy, dark stories, so it's refreshing to return to something lighter and more familiar. I adore the main characters. However, I have one major issue with this book, and it has become a really, really, really big problem for me.

He raped him!!!! He fucking raped and assaulted him!!!! I knew it was going to happen—I read the tags. But seriously... the guy raped him. And that's not even the main issue here! My problem is the hero's reaction to it. What does "wanted to stop being a virgin" mean? Dude, he raped you! I understand it's a novel, but there's a limit to how unrealistic it can be! The guy raped you, so at least you should go through some emotional turmoil because of it! I don't care how much you didn't want it—it's still rape! This reaction is just ridiculous. There’s a limit to how much I can tolerate!

The narrative is delightful and captivating, but it feels slightly hurried towards the climax. Children play a more prominent role than the main male character (ML), which affects the development of their relationship. Their chemistry could be stronger, with the dynamic between their affection and apprehension balancing each other out, making them a seemingly ideal pair based on logic.
Initially, the ML had excellent rapport with the protagonist, but the focus on the children's antics eventually overshadows their interactions. The introduction of the villain appears sudden, given the potential for conflict from the MC's brother's police work, making it less convincing that it's a former friend turned antagonist.
There are a few inconsistencies and plot holes, but overall, the story provides a soothing and enjoyable reading experience.
I typically don't write reviews, but this novel exceeded my expectations significantly. I didn't anticipate enjoying it as much as I did. The twists and turns felt organic and not forced, and the romantic relationship between the main character (MC) and love interest (ML) felt genuine. The translation was exceptional too, with the annotations being particularly helpful for someone like me who needed a bit more clarification.
As the story progresses, the excessive adoration of the main character, Luc, starts to feel uncomfortable and even nauseating, especially considering how mindless it often is. I initially intended to rate it one star, but I'll give it a pass due to its readability.
Let's focus on Luc. The plot relies heavily on the cliché that the主角's imagination makes them magically skilled; however, there's no explanation for his extraordinary abilities. Also, Luc's physical appearance is constantly highlighted, yet unexplained beauty enhancements are conveniently glossed over. The story frequently mentions his magical power that allows him to control others to do his exercises and combat training, which feels implausible.
Luc is portrayed as kind and charitable, but these traits are often exaggerated. His supposed selflessness amounts to simply donating money and accompanying his fiancée to orphanages, which is a lazy approach. The reactions people have to his actions are disproportionate.
The way Luc obtained his fiancée is particularly unconvincing – he noticed she could cook and decided it was useful,求婚于此. This lack of depth in character development is disappointing.
The issue lies not only with Luc but also with the other characters who blindly idolize him. They're so infatuated with his looks and perceived benevolence that it becomes off-putting. For instance, some people praise him to the point of obsession, while others are grateful for minor contributions like a visit to an orphanage.
The女主角's admiration for Luc based on his strength feels forced, especially when there's no real earning or growth shown. The supporting characters, including the heroines, are unlikable and seem one-dimensional, with the original heroine from the original story being a stark contrast.
Some specific points worth mentioning:
- Luc's seemingly effortless creation of a powerful magical creature remains unexplained.
- One of the heroines, a magician's daughter, is unnecessarily hostile towards the original MC because he's seen as an enemy of Luc. This illogical behavior does little to advance the story.
- The act of helping an orphanage is reduced to a shallow reason for marriage proposals, making it seem manipulative and superficial.
Lastly, the idea of classmates openly discussing their desire to marry Luc solely based on superficial criteria is cringe-worthy, with the exception of the merchant girl, who at least admits her intentions honestly.
In summary, while the story might have some redeeming qualities, the excessive adoration of the protagonist, lack of explanation for his abilities, and shallow character interactions make it an uncomfortable read.
What is the reason why he cannot see his sister? How powerful is the organization that kidnapped MC's sister? I request you to give me good and solid spoilers.

It’s more of a simulation than VR and impacts everything in the real world.
