never believed her but easily believed the lies of his impostor saviour Quennie. It's so OA character that a leading man let his people fooled him. And it is not nice that the leading woman will always chase the leading man even if he always rejected it. So boring...
Okay so let me just say this out loud because I need to process it: Xia Nanxing is the most tragically self-aware protagonist I've ever encountered. She knows she's the villainous female sidekick. She knows the script. She's playing a role. And yet—five years of pouring hundreds of millions into Lu Huaijin, and what does she get? Absolute contempt. He doesn't even pretend to be nice to her anymore. Meanwhile, Xia Yingying does one thing—lowers her head—and suddenly Lu Huaijin is the perfect gentleman. The bodyguard's perspective is honestly the most revealing part. He's been with her for five years, he's seen everything, and he still thinks she's "perfect in every way" because she gave him a bonus even while heartbroken. That's the thing about Xia Nanxing—she's genuinely kind, genuinely generous, and that's exactly why this hurts so much. She's not the villain the story cast her as. She's the one who actually has a heart. And then there's the father scene, which is just *chef's kiss* in its cruelty. Xia Zhengyang literally copies Xia Nanxing's opening move—"Here's five million, leave my daughter"—and Lu Huaijin is the one on the receiving end. The roles reversed, the power dynamic flipped, and Lu Huaijin still chooses to hate Xia Nanxing instead of seeing the absurdity. He blames her for the car accident too, which is just... wow. Five years of investment, emotional and financial, and she gets treated like garbage. The system angle adds this whole other layer—she's literally trapped in a role she didn't choose, and her heart condition means she can't just quit. Complete the mission or die. It's not even a choice anymore. How much longer can someone like this keep performing love for someone who sees her as a joke?

it's a beautiful story ...
A friend of mine suggested this app and The Blind Wolf Princess was the first story I read. It’s sweet and exciting and I can’t wait to get to know the characters better! The author did a great job at introducing them. They seem like my friends already! ...
