Couldve done better if there were detailed sex scenes tho. Jiaojiao, Fire ice and little elf are the only ones I assumed to have done it with the MC. He blames himself too much on his past life to the point he doesnt even make a strong face to his harem and just keeps on spoiling them.

I love the female lead because she embodies the classic overpowered (OP) protagonist trope, starting off in a seemingly weak or trashy body but gradually becoming immensely powerful and delivering satisfying comeuppance.
In many ways, it mirrors the "demonic king chases his wife" narrative, where the male lead can be quite exasperating. So far, up to where I've read, the male lead showers the female lead with overwhelming affection, but then a ‘childhood sweetheart’ appears, deliberately sowing discord between them. At this point, both leads seem to be misunderstanding each other, creating a lot of tension in their relationship.
I MTLed this novel and I rate it 3.5 stars.

**Why I didn’t rate the story higher**
The author excels in exploring emotions at certain points, which is where the novel truly shines. However, the emotional depth could be more profound. The world-building is minimal, and secondary characters receive little development. The novel primarily focuses on the MC and ML, which isn’t inherently negative, but it sometimes makes the side characters feel inconsequential. Many encounters lack a clear purpose in terms of personal growth or meaningful connection with the MC. While the novel touches on various themes such as filming, entertainment gossip, PR strategies, flirty romance, and action sequences, it often leaves little room for deep emotional exploration. My personal preference leans towards more emotional connection, and this novel didn’t delve as deeply as I would have liked. Despite this, the emotional scenes and dialogues that are present are well-crafted and compelling.

Read this novel if you enjoy action sequences, variety shows, the entertainment industry, social media couple posts, flirty romance, and moments of psychological angst and levity. The MC is not a typical overpowered protagonist, as he carries the weight of past trauma and PTSD, which surface periodically in the story. The ML is a genuinely loving and excellent life mentor to the MC.

Everyone's entitled to their opinions, and I respect that even if I don't necessarily agree. However, I've observed that lower-star reviews often reveal the reviewer as someone who appears to be a narrow-minded hater of the genre, incapable of providing a constructive critique. The main character is portrayed as self-sacrificing, having endured much in a previous life. When they claim the initial narrative is merely the MC showing off, it's an absurdity. First-person narratives are essentially internal monologues - how many times have we faced tough situations and kept our thoughts private? Accusing him of grandstanding is illogical.
The main female characters are well-developed, giving them a sense of life. Others have praised them more eloquently, but this novel truly evokes emotions – it invites readers to delve deeper, not just skim through. The plot is well-crafted, despite occasional writing issues. I heard the author produces two chapters daily without an editor, yet the translation quality is exceptional. The customized system prompts and dialogue highlighting make for an emotionally engaging experience.
From conversations on their Discord server, they plan to commission fan artists to illustrate key scenes, suggesting a commitment to enhance the storytelling. Even reading the original version doesn't quite compare to the satisfaction provided. Despite the recent increase in release rate due to longer chapters (around 3.5-4,000 words), it might limit the translator to three chapters per week. Newcomers tend to judge by quantity, and genre haters also play a role. Ultimately, without broader recognition or support, the project might run out of funds or face the decision to discontinue.
To be honest, I am quite surprised. This Vtuber fanfiction stands out as the most enjoyable and well-written one I've come across. Most others are difficult to follow and lack compelling storytelling. The drama in this one strikes a perfect balance, without dragging the plot, and it stays true to its central theme - Vtubing.
However, my opinion has changed since the introduction of the UK/RU conflict arc. The story became increasingly absurd and nonsensical, and the protagonist's loss of her language abilities, which were integral to the original premise, was a major letdown. As a result, I now rate this work 2 out of 5 stars.

just when are they going to reconcile ffs this is so frustrating. i mean yea they have that marriage contract but Gu Nianzhi still acts like she's strangers with Huo Shaoheng until now. its frustrating, frustrating, so so frustrating !and look at He Zhichu getting all touchy feely with Gu Nianzhi !
