Read through the first 10 chapters and she’s a total doormat. Skip. Literally sees her best friend and husband making out on their bed and runs downstairs to cry on the couch till they’re done. And she’s still trying to save her marriage after this.
This is an alien-themed fanfiction from an alien's point of view, incorporating gaming elements. Although it's not entirely original, it's refreshing to have a monstrous protagonist. However, it puzzles me why the main character exclusively attracts female monsters – that aspect seems peculiar.
The story initially held my interest, but unfortunately, the translation started to decline. The narrative became repetitive, and the author occasionally forgot or contradicted earlier plot points, causing confusion. If the translation were more accurate, I'd rate it higher, around a 4 or 5. But at chapter 135, they mistranslated "amorph" as "eimoph" and "mother of the sky" as "dragon's mother," which infuriated me enough to pen this review.
Alright, the novel has a sweet and lighthearted charm. I appreciate how each supporting character gets their fair share of attention, making it a balanced story beyond just the main character (MC) and her family dynamics. For that reason, I'd rate it 4 stars.
However, my final rating is 3 stars due to instances where the MC and other characters come across as overly simplistic. While I understand her young age, as a caregiver or elder, someone should guide her better. The constant miscommunications stem from the older characters assuming without seeking clarification. Initially, it was tolerable, but repetitive behavior started to grate on my nerves. I wished for at least one elder with the wisdom to help clear things up and prevent the MC from remaining innocent and unaware.
Just so you know I meant to put a 0 instead of an o
I've only read a couple chapters, but I was wondering if varian ever gets an in-depth description. (Height, hair, eye. Etc) It's kinda hard for me to picture what he looks like.
