No yelling, no drama — just a factual statement that destroys him. And Wei Chengyi: "I only blame myself." Three words that carry seven years of guilt, trauma, and self-loathing. The man can barely speak his pain without turning it inward. The narrator's voice is also doing heavy lifting here. Lines like "Only after one's heart dies can true freedom be welcomed" and "stagnant blood had finally begun to flow freely" — these aren't just observations, they're thematic anchors that give the whole passage deeper resonance. The author knows exactly when to let the characters speak for themselves and when to step in with a line that reframes everything.

This book is amazing hard to put down. Very well written and so much twists and turns.
DO NOT READ WASTE OF TIME AND $$$ almost 500 chapters with no end in sight. Oh and also no updates, or if there are it’s only 1 chapter with 5 pages. Don’t waste your energy or money. If you really want read the 1st 20 chapters then wait till the end and read, if the ending ever comes.
