Okay so Zhang Xiaoxiao is genuinely exhausting to read about and I love it. Like, this girl has been on set for what, two days? And she has already managed to antagonize the female lead, the best actor, and apparently the entire universe. The way she immediately runs to Li Wenjia after Ji Rou gives her a casual comment about acting—"Senior Li, I don't know what I did to upset Sister Ji"—the audacity is honestly impressive. She's playing the victim card like a pro, but here's the thing: it's not even working anymore. Li Wenjia came in ready to defend her and left looking like a scolded puppy. That scene where he says "you should keep your distance from Ji Rou" and Zhang Xiaoxiao is just sitting there mentally biting her handkerchief? Chef's kiss. She's realizing she has no real power here, and it's eating her alive. Meanwhile, Ji Rou is just... unhinged in the best way. She called Li Wenjia a "timid cat borrowing someone else's authority." I literally laughed out loud. That is such a specific and accurate insult. The whole dynamic between these three is so fun—Zhang Xiaoxiao keeps trying to set traps, Li Wenjia keeps being useful in his own way, and Ji Rou is just casually dismantling everything with a smile. Also, Wu Xiaomei getting blocked at the gate because of her scandalous reputation? Perfect. Zhang Xiaoxiao ignoring her calls because she's too busy fuming about Ji Rou? That's the kind of detail that tells you everything about their friendship. Disposable pawn energy, honestly.
