The initial concept appeared intriguing, and upon reading the promotional manga, I was thrilled about the upcoming translation. However, my experience has been disappointing. The writing feels overly-scripted, with repetitive dialogue and a lack of engaging storytelling. Events are explained ex post facto, rather than demonstrated, which leaves the narrative confusing and fails to create a sense of mystery or emotional depth. After 21 chapters, I find myself disconnected from the characters, plot, and setting. I'm sorry to say, but I cannot recommend this. It's better to read "You've Got the Wrong House Villain" instead.
Well, I decided to read it mainly due to its relatively short length and my interest in the supporting characters, particularly Ling Yu and Rosen. Frankly, I find myself skimming through most parts to get to their storylines. The characters tend to be one-dimensional, predictable, and lacking depth, which makes it difficult for me to fully support the main protagonists. It's riddled with cliches and fails to stand out as something extraordinary or memorable. However, if you're looking for a casual read with nothing else on your plate, it's passable.
