I always read the comments before starting a book. This is one of them that I won’t even bother starting.
good good good
I'm really enjoying this story but there are 2 chapter 8, not sure how that happened but I hope it's fixed soon and the next chapter is updated.
A rating of 2/5 from my perspective is quite generous. I was eagerly seeking a novel set in this time period, drawn in by high ratings and positive reviews. However, my expectations were sorely disappointed. The story lacked substance; while I understand it's a slice-of-life narrative with a slow pace, a novel needs engaging elements to keep readers hooked. I'm not exaggerating when I say that nearly all the characters are likable, especially the Fl and Ml family, including a two-year-old genius. Alas, the protagonist, supporting characters, and even the children are portrayed as overpowered geniuses without any plot twists or surprises.
The focus on cooking takes up an overwhelming 70%, leaving me wondering about the author's intentions. If food is the central theme, it should have been clearly stated in the description or tagged accordingly. Despite dropping the book at chapter 130, I found myself persistently tempted to continue, foolishly hoping for a change. This novel is best suited for those who prefer a storyline with a smooth, predictable progression where everything works out perfectly for the main characters.
Check out strongest necromancer of heaven's gate, so far the mc's stuck to his necromancer and the writer improves on that class instead of adding another. So it fits ur requirements.
