Though i am no longer interested in reading this book after the amnesia chapter surface from the storyline, I am still curios how it will end. So I will just come back when this book is on final chapter. For now, I'll just rely on comments to see where the story goes lol
while the book itself has a good storyline, the author is ridiculous in her/his/their stalling & dragging techniques. DO NOT READ THIS BOOK if you're expecting a smooth flowing story from start to finish, you will NOT get it. What you will get is frustrated with the 1 chapter here & there update
eventually there will be more
WOW...I just know this story will be one of my favs by our Muse!!
RAD beautiful
good read,
The stakes in these chapters are escalating in the most satisfying way and I am HERE for it. Let's break down what everyone is fighting for and what they stand to lose, because it's not just a romance—it's a survival story wrapped in silk. Pei Ji: He's fighting his mother, his brother, his father-in-law-to-be, and social convention. If he loses, he loses Luo Fu forever. But it's deeper than that—if he backs down, he admits that his family's opinion matters more than his own judgment. He's a man who clawed his way up from the battlefield; he doesn't know how to surrender. The scene where he grabs Pei Duan by the collar and lifts him off the ground? That's not just anger. That's a man drawing a line in the sand. "Restrain yourself"—he's warning his brother, but he's also warning everyone else in that house: I am not playing by your rules. Luo Fu: Her stakes are even higher because she has less power. If she stays engaged to Pei Ji, gossip spreads, the Inner Court rejects her, and the entire Luo family suffers. If she enters the palace, she loses him but maybe saves her family. She's caught between love and duty in the most brutal way. And she's doing it alone—her parents are using her, her maid Shang Lu is worried sick, and Pei Ji is riding through a storm to reach her. The scene where she tells him "there is no longer any connection between us" while her voice is clearly breaking? That's a woman making the worst choice of her life because she thinks it's the only choice. Luo Yuanshan: He thinks he's being reasonable. He thinks he's protecting everyone. But he's also the man who said his late wife was just "ordinary" once he had her. He's part of the problem, not the solution. His speech about "when I was young I too was infatuated with beauty" is supposed to be wise, but it reads as pathetic. He's trying to convince Pei Ji to give up because he couldn't hold onto his own wife. The suspense is suffocating in the best way. Every conversation is a battle. Every silence is loaded. And that ending—"Can you make your mot—"—I literally dropped my phone. The stakes just went from family drama to full-on life-or-death romance and I am not ready.
Shameless Review By Author: I'm not a pro writer but I love what I wrote so far and I will keep at it and keep new chapters coming while also improving my writing skills. Hope you also love my work and do comment on what do you think or if you have any ideas for me. Thanks
chapters 84 loaded twice there is no 85.86 87 but 87 says its been updated yet everytime i try to read it . it goes back to the author is typing it.
The book seemed to jump around way too much without later explanation. The plot is hard to follow and the twists are predictable. I don't think this book was thought through beginning to end....you can't just throw every Greek, Hindu and Christian God into a pot with 28 or more different \\"Hells\\".
The update will be before 10 Pm (IST)
Such an amazing story..
