"Hey newbie! None of this is for you!"
He cursed at the firm finger flick Sean gave his forehead.
I'm going to be honest with you — I read Tsuna's letter out loud. I don't care who knows. "Making you angry wasn't my intention—it's just that you're too cute." This man is the boss of the Italian mafia and his love language is teasing. The voice here is so distinct — it's playful but not flippant, confident but not arrogant. He knows she's angry. He knows she hates him (or claims to). And his response is to call her cute and give her a bracelet. That's not manipulation — that's someone who has studied this person for ten years and still finds her amusing. The dialogue throughout these chapters has this incredible range. Jasmine's internal monologue is sharp and self-aware: "She should have burned them all back then! But she hadn't had the heart..." That's not just narration — that's voice. We hear her specifically, not a generic protagonist. And Ral's dialogue is perfectly calibrated. Short, authoritative, occasionally warm beneath the stern exterior. "Congratulations. You did it." Two words after Jasmine's entire emotional breakdown over the flame ignition. Ral doesn't coddle, but she acknowledges. That's a character who respects competence. The letter format is where the voice work really shines though. Tsuna's letter to Molly is handwritten — the text specifically notes the handwriting is "neater than ten years ago, yet still recognizable in the details." Every line feels like it comes from a specific person: the teasing about the long-distance boyfriend, the genuine well-wishing at the end, the bracelet description tied to her eyes. This isn't a template romantic letter — it's someone who actually knows Molly. Molly's internal voice is equally distinct. Her spiral after reading the Vongola file: "What kind of scumbag was that?!" followed by the quiet, devastating "...I'm such an idiot." The shift from angry to self-loathing is so natural, so true to how people actually process betrayal (real or imagined). And Lal's text messages — brief, professional, with that single question mark when Tsuna sends the rabbit GIF. You can hear her confusion through punctuation alone. The author's voice as narrator is restrained but observant. They don't over-explain emotions — they let dialogue and action carry the weight. When Molly cries into her blanket, there's no narration about how sad she is. Just the action. The voice trusts the reader.
"Where are you now, you're coming home but still not here."

I'm still waiting... I don't want to wait. I want to forget everything. If only I could. If death could stop this, I would choose it willingly.
