The intense sense of nationalism tinged with racism was deeply disturbing and left me feeling physically ill. It reduces every ethnicity to being criminal and愚蠢, while exalting the author's own race as invincible. Author, please step down from your self-righteous stance – you're an embarrassment to those genuinely fighting for equality. You had an opportunity to address anti-Asian sentiment, but your approach is so extreme that it appears propagandistic and manipulative.
The story is both hilarious and heartwarming. The author portrays the character Shou accurately, emphasizing his lack of intelligence, while the main lead (ML) seems to compensate by using his own wisdom to handle situations, often downplaying his own abilities. The main character (MC) hasn't caused many issues so far, but their interactions reveal the dynamics – the ML consistently tries to please the MC because of his affection. The MC's lack of understanding and common sense adds a comedic touch.
As a spoiler, the characters engaged in a sexual encounter when they were around 18-19 years old. The ML even confessed his feelings to his attendants that he liked the MC. Surprisingly, it was actually the MC who initiated the encounter, but due to being under the influence of alcohol and drugs, he has no memory of it. The ML takes full responsibility, even though it was his own desire, and remains patient with the MC's actions, regardless of how foolish they may seem. The level of indulgence is amusing and endearing.
I highly recommend this story for its entertaining nature. It reminds me of the relationship between Miaka and Tamahome from Fushigi Yuugi. If you decide to read it, I suggest checking out Chrysanthemum Garden translation, as Theo's work is exceptional. Some might criticize the low ratings, but it's important to note that the story revolves around a dynamic where the MC is portrayed as brainless, while the ML supports and indulges them. Think of it like a lighthearted, carefree anime, perfect for a bit of fun and entertainment. ?❤️

It started out REALLY good with a good premise and whatnot but now I get the feeling it is being dragged out for no reason. I may come back to it but for now I'm dropping it the first couple hundred chapters 4/5 the rest 3/5
I finally finished this webnovel after 2 years. It was a bit confusing at some point but I persevered. The actual story of FL and ML finishes around Chapter 1400, and afterwards, it's the short stories of the side characters. I'm happy to have finished this story.
