I've been reading TGR for quite awhile now and have really enjoyed the pacing, characters, and plot of the story. I'm writing this review today because I wanted to warn those who are enjoying or think they might enjoy this novel that there are some serious translation issues with chapters being double posted or posted 10+ chapters out of place with the original chapter sometimes never being posted. Now that you must use SS for the series, be careful to read the chapter title and teaser so that you don't mistakenly pay for the same chapter twice, or a future chapter by accident. Also, the translator has a bad habit of changing back and forth between a character's original name and a translation of it (Mo Ling becomes Ink Ring) which can become very confusing.
The character's flat, the plot's as straight as highway through the prairie, the romance is bland, and the world building is a bad impressionist landscape with blobs of colours smeared to leave a distinctly vague idea of the subject of the painting.
At the Chapter 40 it's good and chichè is keep at minimum but after 40 Chapter it becomes all chichè and idiot mc. First of all he doesn't learn about this WORLD he doesn't even know abcd of this world even after 58 Chapters, he just ask his friends. as for chichè? after 40 Chapter it increasing it 100% rate. Let's see Last Chapter 50-60 he goes to find his friends guess what he is being bullied, he beat them, guess what, his big brother come, guess what he again beat them, they are going to village ,guess what they meet bandit, they reach the village, guess what village is being attack.
I enjoyed the novel... .
It's a very interesting novel and has an outstanding quality, from the grammar, to the characters, to the world building, everything is perfect. Because it's entertaining, I give it five stars.By the way, don't forget to stop by my profile to get an amazing novel too.
i refuse to read stupid dialogs between the system and the protagonista, there is 2 things i hate the most: Plaina protagonist and system. I could no bare read more than 3 chapters because of this anoying system, It is the most unfunny thing i've seen in a novel till now.
Could get better but has an interesting story line that has hope and it's a good book in general can't wait to see where it's headed kudos and continue doing your best
Honestly this kind of story is new for me, I am quite interested to read it.♥️♥️♥️?
satisfaction please update the story
Okay so Zhou Mingyi is absolutely terrifying in the best way possible. Let me just say this upfront: I have never met a fictional character who can lie to an emperor's face while crying and I didn't immediately suspect she was plotting something. The moment she says "Does Your Majesty wish to hear the truth or flattering lies?" — I literally sat up in bed. Most female leads in these palace dramas are either purely innocent or purely scheming. Zhou Mingyi is both at the same time, and that's what makes her so damn compelling. She's playing a long game here. And her brother? Zhou Mingchong. Poor guy. He's been locked up for FOUR DAYS without food because a spoiled princess took a shine to him and he refused to bend. The text says he survived on well water. Four days. And when he finally gets released and sees his sister with the emperor walking into his home — he can't even react. He's so muddled from starvation that his brain just short-circuits. But here's what gets me: Zhou Mingyi could have just walked into the palace and started flexing her new status as the emperor's fourth-rank beauty. She didn't. She asked to go home first to say goodbye to her brother. Is this genuine sisterly love? Or is it another calculated move? The text says she's "resilient" and taught herself embroidery — she's not naive. She knows exactly what she's doing. Meanwhile the Empress Dowager is this fascinating shadow figure. She drugged Zhou Mingyi, arranged the whole thing, but then decides it doesn't matter because the "Woman of Destiny" prophecy is fulfilled. She's pragmatic to a fault. And then she brings in Chuntao — the girl she originally planned — just to cover her bases. This woman is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers. What I love most is the dynamic between Zhou Mingyi and the emperor. He thinks he's the one in control, that he's captivated her with his power and beauty. But she's letting him believe that. The text literally says: "mixing seven parts truth with three parts falsehood could better confuse the heart." She's not falling for him. She's using him. And the delicious irony? He's genuinely smitten. He wants her to love him willingly. She's giving him exactly what he wants while wanting something completely different. I need to know what her endgame is. Because right now she's playing the grateful, tearful sister, but I have a feeling the mask is going to slip at the worst possible moment for everyone around her.
