"Oh my goodness, I am overjoyed that I can finally access the website again! I have no idea why for almost two months, I couldn't read the novels posted by @mysticalmerries. And there were so many stories on my list that I wanted to read ?. First and foremost, thank you for the translation; the story has been fantastic so far, and I can't wait to see how the main character trains the machine learning system to act ?."
I find this novel engaging due to the protagonist's intelligence, which allows for plausible explanations behind his eccentric actions without going overboard. Each character possesses unique traits, and their actions are well-justified without feeling forced. The balance between heartwarming moments and thrilling underworld scenes is a pleasant surprise, and the gradual development of both plot and romance is smooth, something I appreciate.
However, my rating deduction is partly due to the portrayal of the romantic aspects, which I personally found somewhat unrealistic. The story often attributes misunderstandings to the main character's perceived lack of emotional understanding, even though their ignorance is understandable given the context. The supporting characters' refusal to communicate openly with the MC creates frustration, as they expect him to deduce the love interest's feelings without providing crucial cues.
Additionally, a minor inconsistency irked me: as a character who was previously a university graduate and a police officer, the MC's struggle with high school-level problems seemed out of character. It's possible that cultural differences affect the educational system, but it detracted from the realism for me.
Nonetheless, these minor issues do not overshadow the overall enjoyment of the book. Despite the occasional bumps, it's a fun read with engaging storytelling. So, I would still encourage others to give it a try.
Ngl, when i first saw this novel on its original page i can tell it was good as f despite having read only 11 chaps.
See? It left me such a good impression that i can even remember it had 11 chaps only.
Now we got 190 XD. I rlly thought this would be abandoned much earlier like other novel, thats why im still not reading it rn.
Since its pain to do that and it get cancelled. Better not read it at all or wait till everything finish.?
I absolutely adored this story I ended up binge reading this over a week period of time and I couldn’t stop thinking about the characters even after I finished it. This has a bunch of fluff and comedy I highly recommend it :D
i want more of this
I highly recommend this one. Must read.
F*ck it. Imma read it.
HOLY F*CK*NG SH*T WE ARE GETTING AN ANIME AND UFOTABLE IS DOING. WEVE MADE IT BOYS WE ARE IN THE BIG LEAGUES NOW ??????️?️?️
Do people actually say Kai Yang? Lol. Although Yang is his surname, it's common practice for the surname to come first
Individually, I don't particularly enjoy the MC's personality. Initially, I expected a reincarnated character to be more composed and thoughtful, but she seems to lose control of her emotions每当她遇到男主角时。 In fact, according to a spoiler, she even confessed to her sister that she dreams about him as her husband, which just seems irrational to me. The romance part is decent, with minimal conflicts, but I feel it could benefit from more character development. However, I do appreciate the warm interactions between the MC and her family. Overall, the story is quite enjoyable.
I abandoned this novel after Chapter 15 due to several reasons. First, I felt misled by the romance tag; there was none until one of the storylines, and even then, it was limited. My expectations were for a romantic plot, which was a letdown. Additionally, the cunning female lead tag didn't apply, as the protagonist wasn't portrayed as intelligent but rather relied on underhanded tactics. The historical aspect, which I initially assumed meant accuracy, turned out to be a fantasy with a fabricated dynasty, which disappointed me.
The main issue, however, was the poor quality of the writing. I can usually enjoy novels without romance if the story is engaging, but this one failed to meet that standard. The repetitive plot structure for each reincarnation was formulaic, and the villains were one-dimensional, bordering on caricatures. The female lead's unwavering righteousness, the antagonist's predictable behavior, and the male lead's blind loyalty to her felt bland and unoriginal.
In summary, my dissatisfaction stemmed from unmet expectations based on the tags and the lackluster execution of the story's elements. If not for those factors, I might have given the novel a chance, but as it stands, it fell short for me.
As an avid reader, I found "Revenge With The Power of Monkey King" a captivating blend of fantasy and adventure. The narrative weaved a thrilling tale, drawing me into the world of wits and mystical battles. The protagonist's transformation, much like Sun Wukong's, was both relatable and inspiring. The author's creative adaptation of the legendary figure showcased a fresh perspective on Chinese folklore, leaving me eager to devour more chapters. A must-read for fans of immersive storytelling and a touch of cultural nostalgia.
