Great story
I keep coming back to this one sentence and I can't stop thinking about it: 'Speaking of war, she inevitably thought of the northwest. The Turkic empire and the Kingdom of Dameng were watching eagerly. An invasion was likely unavoidable.' She glances at Lu Yun. But ultimately, she did not mention the matter. Did you catch that? She glanced at him. She wanted to tell him. And then she chose not to. That choice contains an entire universe of emotion — trust, caution, the weight of knowing something he doesn't, the loneliness of carrying information that isolates you from the person closest to you. This is the emotional core of the entire novel hiding in a single moment of silence. And it's framed against the most domestic scene possible. They're eating dinner. He's serving her soup. He's talking about tenant farmers and betrothal gifts and how difficult ordinary people's lives are. 'Now that the world is peaceful, their lives are still relatively stable. But if war breaks out someday, that would be when things become truly difficult for them.' He's theorizing about a disaster she already knows is coming. The dramatic irony is absolutely crushing and the author never even acknowledges it. Meanwhile, the romantic thread is developing through these tiny, almost invisible gestures — the milk candies saved for him, the recognition that he likes milky flavors, the way he naturally serves her soup without thinking. These aren't grand romantic declarations. They're the quiet accumulation of two people learning to be gentle with each other. And that makes it so much more powerful because it feels earned. The emotional payoff isn't coming from a dramatic confession; it's coming from the fact that someone finally remembers to save the candy for the person who matters.
spellbinding, wow, One Night with Blaze! great interception. seriously waiting for chapters. great writing .........
The way it ended was horrible such a cliffhanger and without a epilogue. Is their gonna be another book ?
The story is really good!! I love this book so much!
It’s a slow burn and boring. I’m trying to give it a chance but it’s just so boring and lifeless like the Luna’s character. It feels like there’s so many unnecessary filler stories. I’m already on chapter 15 and it’s still the same scenario as the first sentence in chapter 1. Nothing going in.Boring
I truly love this book. It was definitely a difficult storyline. I’m glad Tyson is starting to come around to listening to Amelia. Last few chapters have been steamy as hell. I’m loving Tyson and I think he will help Amelia get revenge on everyone that has hurt her. Starting with Alpha Kingsley.
beautiful!
God... You are amazing writer!!! I loved all of it ❣️❣️...
I really enjoy this story!!
chapter 24 and still super boring. I think this story is best suited for 12 year olds. I keep hoping it gets better but it actually gets worse
This book is off to a fantastic start!! I’m so invested in these characters. You’ll laugh, cry and be angry with them. A must read!
