Absolutely loved it till atleast the big tournament in 2nd year. Has all the stuff that makes a xianxia great, is super engaging and has a rare smart MC. Same with the romance, amazingly well done. That scene with the stars gave me flashbacks of watching the iconic Bakemonogatari confession scene. Really liked it. What I didn't like was the MC resetting his talent to 5 stars. Seemed like the only not perfect card dealt to him in this life was also taken away. Completely random & unnecessary too since he was already making his way around it. Also didn't like the entire 5 élément stuff. Almost every xianxia MC have that, kinda sick of it now. Imo authors should not just give their MC everything. Give him metal, or wood or wind or water affinity. Let him be stronger in some areas and weaker in others cause of it. And let him use his knowledge to work around these weaknesses. 5 élément MC, or fire/lightening are so generic they just feel bland in a way, makes me kinda disappointed since the novel is pretty great otherwise.Still its just minor issues. All in all, great read. Definitely recommended.
NTR should go and die in a ditch somewhere and save us the pain of reading it. I would be glad if there was a tag for this kind of stuff in the site so people would be warned in advance without having to read reviews.
Very very slow story.No action for lots of chapters.To much detail for everything feels more like trying to increase word count.Boring to read for more then 5chapters.Will try again when I develop more patience

This is an amazing novel. Its got a good starting point. The characters show emotion so they feel real and the world is introduced in a way so that you don't feel like you are being dumped with a load of information.

71 chapters in an I still do not see the MC being carefree as the summary says. MC is brutal, dragged into the xianxia type of kill or be killed. The part about him quietly tending his farm is actually a lie - he sneaks out and kills his enemies, and then heads back. I was expecting more carefree and his opponents not being able to do a thing to him while he peacefully farms, or needs to defeat his enemies only when trouble arrives with a snap of his hand. The dreams aren't actually told, just mentioned at a glance. Characters are a joke, MC is barely ok based on what he does, but everyone else has a scheming third villain type of personality. What a joke. The ferret and the eagle has a better personality than the enemies. The 30 chpts in the beginning is ok. There was potential. Spiritual knights sound interesting, but 70 chapters in, MC is letting me down.At a certain chapter, it is briefly mentioned a particular alchemist refuses to help sects because he is carefree and could care less about the world. I think the real MC is actually that alchemist and not the current MC since this MC is being a petty typical xianxia MC that aims to kill everyone who threatens him and not a carefree one like the summary described. Seriously, if someone thought you were dead and you escaped, why bother going back to kill the guy if he never put you in his eyes, nor will he attempt to find you since you aren't related to a sect and live in a secluded valley?The other thing that bothered me is how the MC would go through a dead body and search through it - blood and guts because he found a treasure inside the guy and not on his bag/loot. I'm hoping I really read that wrong since MC is not being an ideal character to represent a carefree path in the world of dreams.
I read it up to volunteer 10 where it stopped .Hopefully you will continue from that volume.But altogether it's a really good book just like all the rest of I Eat Tomatoes' books(the author)
i don't understand and not interested in wine, there so much dialog and i'm not interested in it . wine making? . i don't no why is this novel in my recommendation. i read it and i don't get it. if anyone interested in this type of story then i can't judge it if it's good or not . but i really don't like it for my entertainment when some people just talking about unrelated stuff with enthusiasm . and seriously it's been in my library for quite some time and also in recommendation , daily recommendation . i always stops at this book and think should i read it more before judging but after some time i removed it . now it's again in my recommendation why ? ( just my rant not asking to author )
