He waits three hours in the living room without water or food, completely fuming, because Sheng Xia didn't call him. But the SECOND he sees Su Yanqi's social media post—Su YANQI, her brother, who is literally family—he loses his mind. 'What the hell was Su Yanqi doing? Didn't he know Sheng Xia was a married woman?' Bro. You were ignoring her on her BIRTHDAY but you're mad about her BROTHER posting a picture? The man is so transparent it hurts. And then the medicinal wine scene? He drinks it willingly, gets affected, and his FIRST thought is 'this damn woman truly had no shame! She set me up!' He can't even process that HE chose to drink it. Classic deflection. But here's the thing that got me—the moment Sheng Xia calls him 'Mr. Gu' instead of 'Hubby' or whatever she usually calls him, and then bolts into the bedroom and locks the door? That's when his expression actually changes. He's not used to her being willful. He's not used to her NOT playing along. I think for the first time, he's actually confused about who this woman is becoming. Also, Liu Mianmian showing up exhausted at 2 AM and then getting knocked out? Gu Cheng'an didn't even touch her. He literally passed out. Meanwhile Sheng Xia is standing in the parking lot barefoot in a nightgown, heart pounding, and she's the one who's completely in control. The power dynamic has FLIPPED and I am screaming.
