THANK YOU ?
There are total of 6010 chapters.
So at the pace this is going its going to end in 1 or 1.5 months. I have read machine translations once it ends i might read its official translation
I put in a lot of effort with this one, aiming for something lighthearted and amusing. Inspired by parody books that usually deliver, I thought, "Why not?" Given that previous fan translations hadn't disappointed, I gave it a shot. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. The premise was intriguing, which initially drew me in, but the execution fell flat. To enjoy this, one almost has to suspend disbelief and temporarily disregard logic.
The pacing might have been the issue – it felt rushed, making it difficult to savor the story (especially with the translated chapters divided; imagine them grouped together as they originally appeared). We don't get enough character development; she heavily leans on the system for financial schemes,声称是为原主角帮忙, but it feels forced. The slapstick humor was underwhelming, and the subplot involving her younger brother was absurd.
As for the male lead (ML), he's frustratingly dense when it comes to romance. He tries to follow the plot but seems oblivious to inconsistencies, jumping at different opportunities. Despite his credentials, ML is an idiot, and those around him only egg him on. Where's the chemistry? His devotion to the protagonist is excessive, but there's no clear reason behind it; at times, his actions seem幼稚.
Additionally, the translation had its flaws, bordering on machine-like at times, causing some confusion. This book just didn't resonate with me, but perhaps others might find it appealing.
In the original story, Piggy Duke was intended to be the antagonist, but due to the protagonist's reincarnation into his identity, they vowed to express their true feelings towards their maid, Charlotte. Here's my personal take on the novel:
1. It doesn't exactly fit the typical "reincarnated as villain" trope because the main character appears to be the genuine protagonist. The so-called hero's character doesn't impress me much.
2. In terms of romance, the protagonist isn't oblivious or hesitant; he openly admits his love for Charlotte around chapters 80-100, and even hints at past relationships with his fiancée and the princess.
3. By chapter 104, he has slimmed down and completed his academy arc, setting off on a new journey towards the empire.
I might update this with more thoughts later on.
*You need patience when reading this*
The lovey dovey of the FL and ML only begins after 200+ chapter. There were a lot of misunderstandings, mainly because the ML was treating FL as an enemy due to his past memories.
But all in all, it was such a nice read. And ML’s a p e r v hahahha 8.9/10
The mC ain't Dumb & none of that Romance b*llsh*t
Does the MTL get better perhaps? If not I’ll still read it but just curious
Someone told me there is a r@pe scene here. I will read it for sure, but not now. ?
Bro please tell me when you find some or when this person tell you his ?
I really doubt the word "secretly casts passionate glances" at the last part of the synopsis lol the ml didn't even bother to secretly do it, he'll just directly cast a passionate gaze at the fl even if there are other people at the background
ok
