The first arc is focused more on mystery with lack of horror. But the story is super fun and has huge potential. Gonna read it for later.

I geniunely like it! It's really awesome! It gives out a vibe of interacting with the audience (like deadpool) but without the cursing words... Sometimes. The first few parts of the story is a blast! Although it may look slow, but it's still progress!
This is strongly similar to that old CN - MC accidentally gets caught up in someone Ascension and goes to a higher world and treats dirt like treasure Lol. Kinda makes no sense when you think about it... (It was called World Of Immortals) I believe.

This review is for people who might have stumbled upon this book but aren't sure about reading it because the synopsis doesn't really do a good job of conveying much about the actual story other than the premise. Plus I think this book deserves at least a try, so if you're reading this review, give it a try.Writing quality: Fantastic. The sentences flow together well and the paragraphs are broken down into digestible chunks that make it easy to read. Almost no grammatical errors. I have caught a few typos but like they are so few and far between that they won't really affect the reading experiences. Author does have a tendency of sometimes being very artsy with his wording and his explanations about the rules of cultivation tend to get complicated but most of the time, its clear and concise. The first thing I have to say is, do not judge the MC by the events of the first 5 chapters. He has a drastic personality chance after the initial events of the story, which is mostly setup for what is to follow. MC doesn't act like that for the entire rest of the story. The sudden change is jarring but it is indicated to be a part of the story that will later be explained.About MC: MC is a smart dude, as one of the other reviews put it, actually smart instead of author saying he's smart while he acts like dumba**. He isn't all knowing and makes mistakes but his thoughts are logical most of the time. Personality: Cold, calculating but can be caring, Doesn't blindly follow stuff like morals or justice, does whatever he wants but he has a good heart. In the story, he is depicted as someone capable of being incredibly kind and incredibly cruel. He isn't really bound by the confines of what other think is good or bad, it all depends on what he thinks. I'd say he's in the chaotic good alignment, we see him being more good than just evil but he is quite cruel to his enemies.Romance: The tags say romance and harem but they are very small parts of the story so far. They drive certain key events but most of the story is spent with the mc and he doesn't seem to focus a lot on romances. He makes it clear that he cares for the two harem members introduced thus far but neither romance nor harem is the focus of this story.Story structure: The story focuses almost entirely on the main character, Yun Lei. There are several abrupt setting changes that can be quite jarring but it all feels connected in the end. Often times, it feels like X thing suddenly happens to MC, he tries his best to adapt to that situation and suddenly, Y thing happens and he has to adjust to that. Author likes leaving several hints all over the story, forgetting about it for like 30 chapters and then connecting it back into the story somehow. For example, the personality thing that was almost never mentioned after chapter 3 gets brought up again in chapter 149. It all feels like it'll somehow fit back into the story, even the parts that appear less important. The story moves on slow, which if you have caught up, can be excruciating. Like for example, there is a battle that goes on for nearly 15 chapters. But the author's writing style keeps it interesting.Overall, I'd say this is one of the better books I've seen on this site. I won't say it 10/10, best book ever, but its at least 8/10 and very much a fun read. But its probably not for everyone.

So, here is your author here but I will not just give a shameless review here. I will tell you all the good and the bad points of this novel.You can decide to read it or not after that. The good points:A calm MC: Lu Fei is mature, not brainless just because he's OP or something. He used to be a mercenary in a fantasy world, so he experienced the so called human nature there. He's not a guy who would blush talking to girls or hesitate to even insult them.The game: Ark is going to be one of the highlights of the novel as the whole novel is mostly based on it. NPCs would just like be regular people and the interaction between them and Lu Fei would be one of the highlights of the novel.Weak to strong: Lu Fei would not just become too OP from the start. He would struggle and even die sometimes but he would still be stronger than an average player.Romance: It's one of the points I am confident you will like. It's going to be sweet, like really sweet. There would be more than one girl liking him but I can't say about the harem.Characters: Characters would be unique and even some typical characters will have some unique points or a back story.Chapters: The chapters will be 2k in length, which is above average in WN terms.The bad points: The start: The first ten chapters can get annoying to some people as there would be some info dump and the game part will only start on the 6th chapter.Similar start: Many people will feel that the start is similar to other novels. A debt and a sister to take care of, but it will change as the story will progress.Plot holes: There would be some plot holes in the novel. I can't do anything about it as every novel have it.Not an OP MC: I know that VR novels in WN is filled with an OP MC who had come from the future and knows everything. This is bad point because most of the users look for an OP MC. I can't think of more bad points and it's up to the readers to decide in the end. I will advise the readers to read both bad and good reviews before reading the novel. Give a review, either positive or negative.I don't think there would be any problems with the grammar unless one is a grammar Nazi. I will end my words here.

Having seen the negative comments on the title, I had to know what was so bad. It seems that either the translators have fixed the issue, or the previous reviews were completely wrong. The translation quality is fairly good. Story wise, it seems to flow like a ballad of sorts, like any traditional Chinese novel. Interesting story. Will continue to read.
