This author Priya.. I’ve been following her from WN to GN. Young talented author and damn sure not gonna missed any of her pieces of work.
This book a FL, she’s a scientist with some super power named Abigail. In search for her love, I can’t wait how author will unveils her real life. Let’s go!
Please update this book!! It is one of my favorites and I have been waiting so long for it to continue!!
I barely started reading and I'm loving it. I cant wait to see where this goes.
I really appreciate Laurentia's connection with Ian; they complement each other beautifully. Their bond is something to behold, and I genuinely adore them as a couple. Ian has a remarkable ability to make Laurentia feel at ease and boost her confidence, showing his love in a truly touching manner. Conversely, Laurentia reciprocates with sweetness, solidifying their strong bond.
The focus on the twins' conflicting emotions can largely be attributed to their family dynamics. The parents and, by extension, the grandfather, can be seen as irresponsible for fostering an environment where success equaled love and validation. This upbringing inadvertently led to the sisters' struggles.
Erusia is portrayed as a genius, an extraordinary individual with exceptional abilities, especially when compared to Laurentia, who is also intelligent but not on the same level. However, Erusia stands out as a unique talent. Initially, the family celebrated her achievements, believing she would be the family's future. Meanwhile, Laurentia was constantly reminded to support her sister, despite her own capabilities.
The family's emphasis on comparative success created a pressure-cooker atmosphere, pushing Laurentia to seek attention through unconventional means. When Laurentia injured herself, she discovered that pain could attract the love and attention she craved. This revelation led to a downward spiral, with Erusia feeling responsible for her sister's suffering.
Tragically, their parents' untimely death at a young age exposed the depth of the family's irresponsibility. Laurentia's desperation for attention escalated to the point of attempting suicide. This event marked a turning point, with Erusia deciding to step back and allow her sister to take center stage.
After the loss, Laurentia's mental state deteriorated, and she blamed Erusia for their parents' deaths and her own childhood hardships. However, Erusia's resentment stemmed from the fact that Laurentia had forgotten her initial motives, including sacrificing herself for her sister's spotlight. The grandfather, aware of the situation, retreated emotionally, leaving the sisters to navigate their complex relationship.
In a later timeline, the grandfather opened up to them, sharing the truth and helping them understand each other's perspectives. He acknowledged his role in their suffering and expressed regret for not intervening sooner. Although the story may not be perfect, it offers engaging storytelling and serves as a reminder of the complexities of familial relationships.
This exceeded my expectations. I couldn't resist reading the raws. It's a delightful blend of humor, political intrigue, a touch of mystery, and loads of romance. There's a rather poignant moment, but that's what adds depth to the narrative. I appreciate how both main characters, MC and ML, possess their unique strengths.
I won't spoil it, but it's worth noting that the ML isn't callous or deliberately cruel to the MC. His actions stem from anger or jealousy, but he genuinely cares for the MC. They understand each other well and work together to manage their emotions. Despite his tough exterior, he treats MC kindly and even acts childishly around them, which the MC finds endearing. He's fiercely protective, not just of MC but also his subordinates, seeing them as part of his 'pride.' While he may appear spoiled with MC, he's responsible when necessary.
The backstory of both MC and ML holds significant weight, contributing to their emotional baggage and slower realization of their feelings. Their past traumas and social issues add complexity to the story. However, despite overcoming some obstacles, the lingering scars still exist. Fortunately, they find solace in each other, serving as each other's support system.
The supporting characters are likable too, with most of them having satisfying endings. As for the antagonist, the author provided a compelling reason not to empathize with them. Often, secondary love interests struggle due to unrequited love, but this character's motivations are not solely driven by love but power-hungry desires.
What I particularly enjoyed was the MC and ML's relationship development, which unfolds gradually, keeping me engaged. Although it's an MPREG, it's not the central focus until later, and the pregnancy aspect is minimal. Overall, the story strikes a balance between depth and light-heartedness, and while I wouldn't mind a bit more length, the current length suits the content well.
In summary, this story resonated with me due to its engaging mix of elements and the heartfelt connection between the main characters. If you're looking for a well-rounded tale with a touch of romance and drama, this might be a great choice.
At this rate, the rating is going to plummet! I don't understand why there are so many 1-star reviews when there are only 2 chapters translated! It really makes you wonder about the odds of encountering raters who just happen to dislike it, meh ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
Hope the updates come soon~ ?
same for this one and also stacking shadow slave ? while currently reading lorad of the mysteries
why does everyone who comments read up unit chapter 140 you're like the third person to be there
The novel is intriguing, initially challenging me with its lack of romantic focus on the main character. However, upon further engagement, I discovered it to be a treasure藏书。 What stands out is the disconnected nature of the storylines, where recurring characters appear occasionally without major plot connections.
While I appreciate romance穿越小说, they often become repetitive when the protagonist solely depends on the male lead. This book distinguishes itself as the MC evolves independently, not relying on a single person, but rather using and manipulating others to achieve her goals. It's a breath of fresh air to witness her growth as a character, learning from her emotions and reaping the rewards of her actions.
The MC adapts her persona to fit the story and accomplish tasks, occasionally succumbing to her feelings but always maturing. As for concerns about racism, sexism, or catering to male approval, it's essential to note that the portrayal of certain characters serves to highlight their superficiality and lack of depth. The author does not endorse seeking validation solely from men. Additionally, the emphasis on skin color is rooted in historical context, reflecting traditional beauty standards in ancient and contemporary China, where lighter skin was often considered more attractive.
In conclusion, this novel offers a unique take on character development and storytelling, deftly addressing societal norms and expectations.
I guess he knows what she likes.
When you have the right chemistry with someone it doesn't take a lot of wooing.
Confusing, but I recommend
