Magic is kinda mid in this series. When it was revealed that the mc was a magic prodigy and dark magic was relatively unknown despite it being on of the 5 major elements. I expected the mc to do some amazing things with dark magic like regrow limbs since magic normally can't heal what's lost but dark magic is for healing and destruction. The fact that they made the leveling system I can only hope that once the mc gets to level 100 she is able to create new spells.

He seems petty and less godlike than before, which doesn't sit well with me. I understand character development, but this change disrupts the flow of the story, particularly when it shifts focus away from the protagonist's spiritual growth towards confrontations and revenge.
Despite my earlier concerns, I haven't finished the book yet, so I'll reserve judgment. Upon reflection, I realize there might have been a deeper layer to Jing Yue's character that I hadn't fully grasped before.
Now that I've completed it, I must say it's fantastic. Although the protagonist is powerful, there are supporting characters who can challenge him, making for a balanced narrative. The romance is well-crafted, but my favorite aspect is Jiji – their presence left an indelible impression, hooking me into the story. The setting and storylines are also captivating.
