Although I haven't completed the novel, I've made significant progress. Although it's not a highly profound or masterfully written piece, I must say it serves as an effective, heartwarming escape from reality. The reason for its low ratings remains unclear to me, which is why I decided to leave a five-star review to provide some balance. Truthfully, I'd give it four stars, deducting one for the overbearing nature of the main character's actions. The relationship between the protagonist and love interest is genuinely sweet, with no unnecessary drama or conflict – just pure, feel-good content, which I appreciate.

I personally adored this light novel because it didn't feel like the plot or romance was artificially imposed. Although the main character had a harem, it seemed to stem from his genuine personality, not simply because he's the protagonist. The harem existed because he consistently rescued and cared for others, giving them a purpose beyond just being his potential wives or for their sexual appeal. The characters functioned purposefully, with the MC protecting them and seeking their support when needed, both emotionally and physically. There were no unnecessary fillers, aside from marked side chapters that advanced character relationships.
Each chapter felt essential, even those depicting seemingly trivial moments like a bar brawl, which helped to illustrate the aggressive nature of demons and the MC's struggle to comprehend their mindset. The characters were well-developed with distinct personalities, avoiding the cookie-cutter traits found in some other novels. The MC wasn't a perfect, all-knowing hero; he was goofy, impulsive, and struggled with fighting. He relied on others and faced his weaknesses, making him a relatable and engaging protagonist.
Of course, this LN may not cater to everyone's taste, especially those who不喜欢 harem themes. Some might prefer a more conventional love interest or more restrained emotions. But I believe it's important for the characters to pursue their desired happiness naturally, which aligns with their personalities. In summary, while the novel has its flaws, those who overlook them will find a rewarding story filled with depth and authentic character growth.
So first, I hate the rape victim becomes lover trope. This isn't tagged that way, though, and I guess the reason is because the main character (MC) doesn't seem to care? The system provides him with pain inhibitors, and in the name of his mission, he just lets it happen and even seems to look forward to it. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but luckily it seems to be just the first arc.
Additionally, suddenly leaving the world via death isn't my favorite way for a story to end.
However, it is interesting how, as the MC acts, we see what he wants others to think he's feeling. Sometimes, I'm not sure what the MC's actual thoughts are versus what his character is supposed to feel.
I feel a little bad for the main love interest (ML) at the end of each world.
The relationship between the MC and his system is funny, though it sometimes feels like the MC teases a bit too harshly. It doesn’t quite reach bullying level, though.
The story also ends rather abruptly.
Was it worth staying up late reading? Probably not. Was it worth reading? I think so. Rate 3.5 stars.
I felt compelled to create an account after finishing the book just to express my thoughts on it.
I truly enjoyed the novel, as it featured a diligent main character (MC), adorable and supportive female leads, solid writing, and engaging plotlines. However, my enthusiasm waned when I encountered spoilers that led me to put it aside temporarily.
Although I had been reading "Flashing Genius" since last year, the presence of spoilers caused a pause. Yet, after the manga adaptation sparked my interest, I decided to complete it. Unfortunately, that proved to be a regrettable decision.
The ending turned out to be a major letdown. The final arc was rushed, covering less than 30 chapters to wrap up everything. After the MC's adventurous journey, he mysteriously disappears for nearly two years, only to reappear during the climactic battle to save everyone.
The twist came when the MC revealed he had become a god, forcing him to leave the world behind. He vanished once more, leaving his heroines and friends heartbroken. In the last two chapters, the heroines devise a time-travel plan, and the novel concludes with the enigmatic line, "A new story begins..."
