The dialogue in these chapters is genuinely funny and each character has a voice I can identify with my eyes closed. Ye Wuyou's internal monologue is the highlight. "Stingy bastard, miserly dog, shameless! Won't even let people eat their fill. Petty man! One day when I make it big, I'll sit in front of you and eat meat just to make you watch!" This is pure, unfiltered Ye Wuyou—dramatic, petty, and somehow endearing. She curses like a sailor but also gets diarrhea and has to squat in an outhouse at midnight. The contrast is comedy gold. Ling Yu's dialogue is famously sparse but loaded. His entire personality is in lines like "Yes, necessary" when defending his chicken leg hoarding, and "Go to sleep. If you're fine tomorrow morning, I'll make you something delicious." He says so little but means so much. The man is a rock in human form. Ling Zixiao is the sweet younger brother energy: "Sister-in-law, why is the porridge so thick? Did you pour out some of the water?" He's worried about the grain, not the taste. Classic Zixiao—practical, caring, slightly naive. And Youyou the space companion? "Hey, bandit girl, were you a starving ghost in your last life?" Perfect comic relief voice.

I love it. its exciting. kinda wandering if runa is special like something mystical somehow I think she's part elf since she can read elvish if so then she's stronger than a witch which would turn tables on why hunter kidnapped her and why her family is overprotective. much love xoxo.
