While the premise of the story is not too bad, it is a trope. The MC is definitely OP, and wears his plot armour valiantly.The biggest deterrent to a better score would have to be that of the latest 60 chapters (as of chp 3157), over 50 of them havehad the "second half" (or so) of the text copypasted from either the first half of the chap, or almost the entire previous chap. and despite the comments to the author, it has been continuing.

Caution: NTR by clone .... it gets real weird when it comes to the alter egos and clones...had to drop there since this is the first time Ive seen clones that are basically just new characters but share memories and are connected to the host, + gender bender. It got really strange out of nowhere. Authors taste is unique.

it's not a bad story, but you need punctuation. I didn't see 1 period at all. run this through grammarly, and it will help it a lot.

But...The creatures and classes in Black Magus are both loosely inspired by D&D but have been altered by me to make something unique. In all, I have twelve sagas/seasons/volumes outlined. Currently on Vol 3, 3rd Arc.The MC, Amun, is a half-drow with sorcerery that's loosely based off sung jin-woo's ability from SL. And while he is a necromancer, Amun will have a focus on cursing and making deals with souls like the devil he is.The story starts slow, not really kicking off until after the academy. But once Amun graduates, the story will quickly pick up speed.Things you won't read about: Harems. XP to level up. Hard stats. Skill points. A dumb mc. People who do things just because. Mary Sue's/Gary Stu's.Things you will read about: War. Intrigue/Espionage. History. Kingdom building. Exploration. Cults. Relgions. Transformations/Evolutions. Science/Inventing. A small bit of romance. Turning into a 'villain.' Drugs.
Writing quality has some flaws to it but eventually what really matters is the flow and how fun it is to actually read and although it has some mistakes but nothing major.The prompt is a sage from presumably a fantasy-type world with magic transmigrating to a cultivation world and within that cultivation world, he seems to want to explore whatever he couldn't in his original fantasy world. Not many chapters have been released as of yet but in my opinion, while the prompt is really good, way too much stuff happens within those 11 chapters and it's just really tiring. Like the young master that took a good portion of 2 chapters for pretty much nothing, He might encounter the young master's family later or he won't but eventually, it's not really interesting to have this entire subplot branch out from just him bumping into someone. In 12 chapters he cured some city lord's daughter, fought with a young master from a tycoon family, saved a young lady of another house, combined the different energies he had and some other more minor events but I hope you get that these are all pretty big events and are the buildup for the rest of story atm and it just seems really rushed to me to just give each of these subplots barely 1 chapter and moreover this 1 chapter for each of them occupies a huge part of the 12 chapters that have been released so far so we don't get much info on the world background like the strength of cultivators, what even are cultivators in the first place - cultivators in other novels can definitely cast spells even outside of arrays so are cultivators in this world only able to strengthen their physique and practice martial skills? I can only assume he bought a cultivation technique of the lowest grade because of the price which is odd since either way from what you said it takes a lot of time and effort to transfer from one technique to another. Also, these little bits that are seemingly meaningless like him showing off his 'wealth' to some random attendant that is for some reason arrogant and it just doesn't make much sense for a clerk to be arrogant I mean most of their job is just being courteous.TL: DR - It feels to me that way too many events and flags are being squeezed into these 12 chapters. Creating the new energy for example should be a really big event and not some random thing that gets overshadowed by him overstaying in the cultivation room. IMO more time should be invested into expanding on the world background specifically the cultivation system before we start with all of these events (i.e. interaction with other characters that seems crucial to the plot).
Well this is another of the racist novels on here. The story itself is decent but it plays HARD into the whole idea that foreigners are all evil. Never trust them. Seriously, they may have been part of the empire for generations but they can never hold any position of worth because you know they are evil. This is the main character's view unscripted and unprovoked that receives perfect recommendations from everyone for how wonderful of a view it is. Yea. I am done. A pity as it was relatively promising up until the Imperial Examination and the unrelenting racism/nationalism.

A suitable entry in an otherwise generic-filled website, I mean, most aren't bad, but they couldn't be called good too.Might be an exception, or my personal biases, but this one does have features that greatly elevate some of the reading experience, with characters that might still feel like generic Webnovel-Type characters but makes up for it with a more interesting background for most, like Mother-----I mean, MF, the protag. It's an overall interesting read.Also, side note, Uh...I'm one that mostly likes my book pure and—non explicit but,SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEGS
If you are looking for a new book that is lyrical at times as well as philosophically challenging without pandering or becoming formulaic, this is it! I was vaguely reminded of House of Leaves by Danielewski, as I don’t recall being challenged like this since attempting to read that cult (now) classic.
