I got bored after chapter 350 to 450 the Mc got complacent everything falls into his lap money no problem , skills not problem he gets everthing with no difficulties the fights are also getting boring and mundane no suspense anymore it doesn’t even matter about sword skills anymore it’s about who could make a bigger explosion ?
The portrayal of emotions is quite vivid, but personally, I couldn't fully immerse myself in the story. The protagonists and their pasts are portrayed with depth, but their lack of agency leaves me unimpressed – they can't just declare, "I'll follow my heart, no matter what," and stand strong. Instead, they consistently dwell on sadness until the protagonist enters the scene to alleviate their troubles. The focus on emotional turmoil feels excessive.
The story has a moderate level of steamy scenes, excellent pacing, a stable main character (ML) with great writing, and well-developed supporting characters. It's free of excessive angst, featuring just the right amount of drama and sweetness. Initially, the plot appears straightforward, but it deepens as we learn about the MC's background and aspirations, making it more engaging than a simple pursuit. Despite reading it via machine translation (MTL), the story was enjoyable enough for me to overlook the translation issues.
The ML, Dr. Fu, somewhat resembles Xie Jing Xing from "Malicious Empress" due to his overpowered nature, but here he's gentler and sweeter. Even when the MC initially pursued him, the ML never mistreated her. Their relationship progression felt自然而真挚, with him becoming quite affectionate and caring.
While I didn't delve into the extra chapters due to the MTL quality, I did skim through and noticed a generous amount of additional fluff, smut, and character side stories. Happily, the main story concludes at Chapter 65.
In summary, the book is a delightful read with a balanced mix of elements, despite some translation challenges.
