I'm confused with all the 5 star reviews. It's apparent that this book was written by someone young - which as a teacher I love kids writing for joy - but as a reader looking for an outlet, this book is too immature. The Grammer, spelling, and writing style is hard to get through. Not recommended.

Okay so let me just say this — the system mechanic in this novel is doing SO MUCH heavy lifting and I am here for it. Song Yuejiao isn't just some transmigrator playing house; she's got a literal GPS for danger in her head. The moment the system sensed Duan Yuyan's difficult background and confirmed her kindness, that was a plot beat that landed perfectly. It tells us exactly who to trust and who to watch. And then — plot twist alert — Qiao Yu is FOLLOWING Duan Yuyan around like a detective on Laba Festival night. He's waiting for her to reveal her true colors. What does that mean? That someone told him she's dangerous? That there's a whole subplot about Duan Tongrou poisoning his perception that we haven't fully seen yet? I need to know. Also, Song Yuejiao spots someone who looks like Pei Chi at a pastry shop — someone she clearly finds boring — and then he's GONE. Vanished. Why would a boring guy be lurking around? The author is layering mysteries like an onion and I'm literally cutting into it with my bare hands.
