I am currently coming out of the average Chinese novels. I am looking for novels that are a little more explicit so to speak, but this novel is intolerable for my taste. I'm not saying that the perverted part of the novel should be removed, but that these things should be placed in specific situations and not show such a level of degeneracy at all times.
The series is decent, encompassing the MCU range and featuring a manageable main character. There's not much overpowered stuff, the system is balanced, and the Stand battles are enjoyable, with a decent original storyline keeping interest. However, Mahiro's comments about upcoming chapters raise concerns.
From Chapter 368 onwards, there's a reliance on direct adaptations of the source material, which can feel repetitive.
Chapter 444 stands out, as the protagonist's single Stand, Pearl Jam, limits the exploration of new ideas. Each fight scene showcases moments, but the主角's success often makes it unnecessary to utilize all his abilities. The reliance on specific abilities like Hamon, Hermit Purple, and others feels excessive. While it's still readable, if this continues until Chapter 800, I might lower my rating to 3 stars.
I stopped after the Ghost Rider arc, not even motivated to continue for the Thanos storyline.
When I reread from Chapter 180 to 500 with better translations, I reconsidered and bumped it back up to a 4.0 rating.
Finishing the series, I found it better than anticipated from where I left off three years ago, but it doesn't quite match the early chapters' quality. Overall, I give it a 3.5. I deducted half a point specifically due to the forced insertion of "Chinese Government is Best Government" post-Thanos arc, which doesn't align with real-life understanding – in a hypothetical crisis, the Chinese Communist Party's actions wouldn't necessarily benefit the people.
I really admire her! What I appreciate is that she isn't solely obsessed with revenge, unlike many female leads in similar stories. Instead, she aims to create a fulfilling life for herself while maintaining a harmonious relationship with the male lead. They seem like a perfect match - she's a strong woman in charge (a 'girlboss') and he's evolving into a supportive partner (a 'malewife'). Although some chapters might feel brief, the translator mentioned they'll be focusing on releasing more content for this particular novel, which should improve the pacing. The division of chapters into smaller sections by the translator might cause some readers to find the flow uneven, but if you read them consecutively, the progression is actually satisfactory.
