Mindless fluff can still be great fluff. There are many questions to ask, but the answers are often murky. I picked it up because of the adorable description, and it definitely didn’t disappoint.
The novel is delightful; light-hearted and devoid of excessive drama. The protagonists are likable and relatable. In short, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I absolutely adored this book; it's an incredible tale of self-discovery. The storyline and characters are exceptional, leaving me with a deep longing. I find myself wishing I could erase my memories and read it anew, as I was moved to tears while finishing Kindle Version 2. Tears flowed like rivers for 30 minutes after completing it, filled with emotion.

The story revolves around a young history teacher, MC (protagonist), who unexpectedly becomes the neglected brother of an emperor. To survive, he伪装 as gay, presenting himself as weak and unable to compete for power or produce heirs. Despite his beauty, kindness, and sweetness, MC decides to change his destiny by treating the ML (male lead), a talented general from a traitor's family, with genuine care.
ML, who overthrows his own father for the throne, ends up captured, tortured, and given to MC as a humiliating punishment. Through their shared experiences, ML discovers his love for MC, appreciating his beauty and even more so, his pure heart and honest nature. It's revealed in Chapter 93 that MC reciprocates those feelings.
While the story progresses slowly and has a cute development, some readers wish for a quicker and more intense plot, especially when it comes to seeking revenge against their enemies. The ending leaves the fates of MC's two false concubines unresolved, which many find disappointing, as they were intriguing characters. A little extra content would have provided a satisfying conclusion. Overall, the author and translator are thanked for their work.

the humor makes me remember the humor of Malcolm in the Middle. it's nothing alike but the humor strikes me the same. maybe the mischeviousness? somebody relates?

that synopsis attracts all op mc suckers, but the on-going status really puts me off when I first saw this LMAO I would have skip right through this novel right then and there if I hadn't read the comments ಠ﹏ಠ
