A confusing as hell world that gradually unveils itself.I don’t want to post spoilers in this review but that would be very difficult for a novel like this. I’ll try not to though.First off, reading the first few chapters would make anyone confused. You’ll only start to get a basic understanding after chapter 9.In this supernatural world, dangerous and mysterious happenings occur around the city and our MC is learning and trying to get stronger during these times. He kinda reminds me of Chen Ge if you know who he is (My House of Horrors).There is tons of Chinese folklore and Xianxia elements that populate the story.And as for the yaoi another review talked about. I’m not seeing any so far... I really hope there isn’t any.So, I quite enjoyed the novel if I ignored my confusion I had the entire time reading it. Despite my confusion, I would probably keep reading it. On chapter 39, it reveals some more world background and developments that got me more interested but I’m poor! Poor! Poor!Important things must be repeated three times. ?
Really love what the earlier chapters set up! Love the character design, love the world and love the whole overall lore! Interesting characters in Jack and Zick, and seeing a great story moving forward!
