It's a translation issue; Chinese has more than one first person pronoun (I), and stuff like, I, your Father, or, I, your Mother, is really the only way to translate it without rewriting the entire sentence to get the same vibe across.
Like the other guy said, when someone uses I, your father, they are essentially asserting dominance over whoever they're talking to. It's one of those pride things that these novels are always on about.

mc is the definition of a perfect and boring mc. The typical serious mc and with only one facial expression who only has eyes for cultivation and sword, with limited vocabulary (overused lines), ruthless to enemies and kind to friends, the "I can't be bothered with their trashtalks and blatant disdain but will slap you regardless of your background if you take it too far" type, the I'll spare you because I can't be bothered to waste time type, lastly, the always underestimated man no matter how many miracles you perform (friends, enemies, and bystanders will always believe that he's gonna die or lose and won't pull off another miracle even when the mc's face is calm and the mc is confident regardless of how many miracles he pulled off in the past). Almost average novel but I still liked it. There are satisfying parts of course. If you're new to reading webnovels, just add this to your reading list but don't read it yet. If you're a veteran reader and still willing to read, I'm sure that you reached the point of lowering your standards because you pretty much read every gem and still want to continue reading but the only ones left are the slightly above average ones.
