The plot is full of twists... I really like it. The main characters are both intelligent, cute, and cool.
Seriously, I don’t like writing long reviews, so I only write them for the ones I love or hate in a few words. This novel was fluffy and interesting.
If you enjoy following a novel chronologically like I do, this can be an engaging read. However, I deducted points due to the author's struggle with pacing. It often takes an excessive number of chapters, around 10, to cover events spanning just a day, with filler content that lacks relevance. To make it through, you need to mentally filter out sections detailing mundane activities like dogs barking, chickens clucking, pet interactions, demihumans wagging tails, snack consumption, tea and ale sipping, and dishwashing. These sections consume approximately 15-20% of the book and are not worth your time; simply skip them.
The story's sudden shifts between hectic global-saving moments and slow, leisurely pacing can be confusing at times, blurring the line between slice-of-life and easy-going storytelling. Despite these flaws, the translator does a commendable job, earning a solid 10/10.
It's somewhat akin to "Dear My Friend," but with the dark twist of an unreliable best friend. Surprisingly, I've found this particular novel more appealing so far. Kudos to the translator for a fantastic job!
The storyline of this narrative held great promise, but unfortunately, its execution fell short. As an avid fan of the author's previous work, I had high expectations for this one, but it ultimately left me feeling let down. Despite providing some temporary entertainment, the story's peak, which should have been the climax, occurred early on when the female lead (FL) coincidentally calls out her late husband's name during a double rainbow sighting in Paris. The male lead (ML), looking up at the sky, replies, "Yes, I see the rainbow too," even though she can neither hear nor see him. This scene had undeniable emotional impact.
However, subsequent events in the story failed to match the intensity or significance of that moment. The author could have greatly expanded on this captivating premise, turning it into something extraordinary. Instead, it felt like unwrapping a beautifully packaged gift only to find plot inconsistencies and a disappointing ending. It's a missed opportunity that left me wanting more from the author's otherwise promising plot.

its kind of a bad start but as the book progresses it gets better(mc becomes more ruthless) Its a lot of people thinking he's dead then attacking then mc wiping them out rinse and repeat but he gets stronger, its a good read if your bored

The only bad thing about the novel is that some people are killed very easily. I may stop reading just because of this.

It was the 1st manhwa and then the 1st novel i read. It introduced me to this wonderful fantasy world... Love Martial peak so much. It may be long and plot holes but it will always have a special place in my heart.
