Okay, let me just... process what I just read. The plot structure in these chapters is absolutely WILD. We start with Wen Yue sending that chilling message — "Uncle, could you please help me collect my body" — and my heart literally dropped. No punctuation, no explanation, just this raw, desperate cry that somehow felt more terrifying than any dramatic suicide note ever could. Then Chapter 3 hits us with the full scene. The girl in the white wedding dress, half-leaning against the floor-to-ceiling window, blood pooling around her. The lightning flashing outside like it was striking her one final time. And Gong Hengye's reaction? He doesn't even go closer. He just stands at the doorway, lets out this eerie chuckle, and says "Indeed, people who are too foolish will still get struck by lightning even after they die." I need a minute. That line alone is so cold, so layered — is he mocking her? Or is he mocking himself for not seeing it coming? And then THE TRANSmigration. The lightning strikes HIM. A brain-dead genius with an IQ of three hundred. The author's humor here is chef's kiss. But the real plot bomb drops when Gong Hengye sees the future — Gong Chen drugging HIM and sending Wen Xi to his bed. The family alliance forcing them together. Wen Xi's breakdown. The tragic cycle repeating itself. This isn't just a romance novel, it's a full-blown tragedy waiting to happen, and now Gong Hengye has to navigate it with foreknowledge. The tension is UNREAL.

I love this book. But there should be a cap on what you have to pay to read a book. Although I don't like how much it is costing me to read this book. I definitely won't be starting anymore books on Goodnovel unless I can buy them.
