This was one of the novel, which helped me study. I would be always motivated to study after reading this butthe author had to add to racism and other bs... :(
its been more than year no update :(
The novel is a gripping tale with a canine theme, which unfortunately falls into a common genre I was hoping to avoid – dog-everything stories. Despite giving it four stars instead of five, my dissatisfaction stems from the toxic relationship dynamics that often plague such narratives. The main character's (MC) journey was marred by unnecessary trauma, and I wished he could have found closure by surgically removing his glands due to the unfair circumstances he faced.
The male lead (ML) does experience a redemption arc, but it wasn't enough to fully satisfy me. If he had supported the MC's decision to sever his glands, acknowledging that true love transcends the need for a mating mark, I would have been more lenient. However, the ending left me wanting more, as the MC's lingering resentment towards his omega status and desire to摆脱 it felt unresolved.
Throughout the story, the MC repeatedly expressed his intention to remove his glands once his offspring no longer needed his pheromones. His eventual change of heart due to the ML's influence feels like a missed opportunity for a more satisfying resolution. While the novel may appeal to fans of the "dog blood" genre, it didn't quite hit the mark for my personal preferences.
Indeed, the depiction isn't entirely off. The MC's golden fingers were incredibly extravagant and abundant, to the point where it seemed like most achievements were effortlessly acquired. Initially, there was a semblance of struggle and growth in portraying family dynamics, but as time went on, these developments were overshadowed, making the story feel unengaging. Moreover, the relationship between the main character and the male lead lacked depth and spark.
With up to 49 chapters completed, this novel has been exceptional. Although I was emotionally moved by a flashback involving supporting characters that share some similarities with the primary couple, the overall sentiment towards the story is positive. The slow progression of their relationship is intriguing, promising a fiery climax as the story unfolds.
The integration of cultivation, devil, demon, and spirit themes, along with the well-developed world-building, adds depth and richness to the narrative. What stands out is the lack of animosity between the main character and the eldest sister; their relationship dynamics are refreshingly unique, and I appreciate the subtle tension that exists, primarily unintentional for now. I am eager to see how this dynamic evolves, especially when it becomes more deliberate.
I am impatiently awaiting the events described in the synopsis to unfold.
Ikr all these names really convinced me that the game mc got isekaied into was one of those half ass mobile games lol
Points 1,3, and 4 make sense, but is it really an issue that the system isn't explained? I'm kind of tired of authors trying to explain the systems rather than leaving them as the inciting incident and proceeding with the story.
if you want to read a novel like this read the "virtuous wife" and " the life of an imperial concubine" cause this are great novels.
No comments? well i'll start ig.
She's my idol now....Me and my friend always wished to learn how to evaporate, to be free from those modules and stress be with the wind (༎ຶ ෴ ༎ຶ)
Can you spoil it and tell me why the ending is bad?
Its good and I enjoyed It. T'was an interesting concept but after 700 chapter, I got so bored That I literally skipped until the end to see what will happened but t'was dissapointing. T'was a lame ending. Many mysteries still unsolved and the way they handled the problems in this story wasnt very interesting. The only thing that kept me reading is his 'pets' raising. T'was my first time seeing that type becoz I read only cultivation type mostly. I think that it is the story's most interesting aspect which got me interested from the start and to the last. It's quite sad that the author failed to execute it much better(Dont ask about romance t'will never happen. I thought there would be some bcoz of the girl from the frozen tribe somthin kept hintin at it but t'wasnt lolol)Overall, I think the concept was quite interesting especially if your taste in reading novels got rusty that you will just eat any type of junk food. U'know its unhealthy but u still like it. And the characters uhmm. T'wasnt very much improvement of them because the only interesting character in the story is Gao peng's familiar? And gao peng himself(a little). I think I'll give it a 4.2 in the first 500 chapters and 3.4 if you still count the ending as t'was boring.TL,Dr: Read it if you like an mc who doesnt fight at all more of the commanding type. But lemme warn you that don't have high expectations when reading this novel when you're going to read it as you will have lots of dissapointing moments. In short t'was decent and good to read if you already read all the mainstream novels
