The translation is very high quality although the currency was westernized around 15 chapters into the story which really isn't that bad as at least the names aren't something like Eddie Eduard (*cough* My Maids Are All Antagonists *cough*) which is really pointless and kinda ruins the immersion.Now onto the actual review - The prompt is about a transmigrated man that landed in a body of a dead worker for the demon-slaying department which takes captured demons, kills them, and processes their bodies to produce useful ingredients. As expected such a dark place's employees are basically slaves that we're forced to take a job that will kill them in around 6 months on average just for the food that was promised in the midst of a famine, and that's what MC's body's former occupant also died of which was the evil energy from all of the demons slain in that place. MC's cheat appears when he slays his first demon in the form of a book that records anything he killed that committed evil deeds and gives him rewards in the form of cultivation advancements, cultivation resources, or even different innate skills (Much like sign in novels, and the theme is indeed similar). As MC's job is to kill demons on a daily basis he gets free unlimited supply within his 10-year contract in which he sold himself to the demon-slaying department in the exchange of food pretty much (As in unlimited, decent quality food btw). Stuff happen in that period blah blah blah 10 years later he's really strong but has pretty much no knowledge about cultivation itself and even his current realm which leads to him getting out (Upon getting out because he was highly skilled in processing the demon bodies and was the only one to ever get out alive from the 10-year contract he was granted an official position albite a very lowly one), meeting people in his new job and learning more about the world. Up until now, it's pretty much a sign in the novel which isn't criticism from me btw just want to clarify. Overall a pretty nice read, writing quality is very good, a lot of different stuff happens and it's hardly ever repetitive at least in those first 40 chapters which is very commonly a problem with signs in novels. YOUNG MASTER CRINGE COUNTER TILL NOW IS 0 BTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) which I think is a first for me in the entirety of my time on this website.Would recommend it for more casual readers, although for people that are looking for more depth to the cultivation system I doubt they'll like this.

I read and finished this novel some years back, it is one of the greatest novel ever and the author mixes all elements in a fantastic way.Reincarnation, Wuxia, xianxia, time warp everything. Spoiler:MC will only have one wife, and she is no damsel in distres , so badass that even late in the story when the MC is one of the worlds strongest on par with Buddha only his wife can bully him.No over the top power up bs where the main wins always.Enemies and allies has character development, schemes run deep and you’ll never know what happen.The ending was a little rushed but at the end it is a masterpiece of Chinese novel.

The quality of the translation after chapter 40 is mtl.Paying just to read mtl, like why. cba to struggle to read this.I was enjoying the story so far but 40 isn't enough to recommend.
Do not get started. Story is pretty interesting but characters and setting are uneven. It is set in an alternative United States, NY where Businesses, Mafia, Government, and Karate people rule. Writing is often uneven. Events change sometimes, numbers change sometimes between chapters. Have to just let changes to characters or events not get to you.Alex is smart and dumb depending. He usually makes bad choices. He purposely lets situations get out of hand or goads people to hate/berate him. Gets a bit tedious at points as important part of living in society is publicly berating 'poor' people or people who dress normally, over and over and over. The story abruptly ends at 748 'golden eggs' and becomes new story at 749 'underground' with just Alex and cosmic karma magic realms with continuous tedious fights and new cardboard characters that you won't care about.It then ends up with Alex being an infinite-universes/multiverses timeline watcher/Fate and Alex messes around with different timelines for a while. He gets bored along with the reader, then literally jumps into a new timeline/universe where he forgets everything except what the new-timeline Alex knows. Its a different story starting at 886 'back to earth' with womanizing Alex with dramatic Debbie and (Yvonne since when?). Everyone is sleeping around and no one is really the same - liked the horse though - only character with real character. If you start the series at all, Stop reading/listening at 749. Gets tedious and story gets even more unsequenced and unbalanced after that.

You know what? I'm already tired with all these cliche. An arrogant young master from big family got offended by the mc, mc beaten up the young master and then the young master will pay an assassin or a thug to kill the mc but only just to get faceslap.....I didn't say that i hate this novel, it just that I already read a lot of this kind of novel and numb with it.
First of all, props to the translators for working through the medical terms and all that. It must definitely not be easy.As for the novel, 'meh' is really all I can say. The author gets a thumbs up for daring to create a medical novel, that's brave and must have done some extensive research, but the execution of characters and story development leaves much to be desired. The MC is rather uninteresting and the "harem" feels like plot fillers (aka unnecessary and dull).
