A very interesting story. nice job author
super good book so ready for book 3
The first 300 chapters are really enjoyable, but after that, the quality starts to decline. The main character (MC) keeps showcasing his talents granted by the system repeatedly, yet he still can’t defeat the antagonist or win over the girls, which is frustrating. It’s particularly irritating when the MC has to keep demonstrating his abilities to impress the girls, as if he needs to prove himself over and over again. This repetition is tedious.
How can a girl be so cold and talented at 20 years old? It’s unrealistic. The MC has to display six or seven different types of talents to gain her favor, and even then, her approval remains low. It doesn’t make any sense.
Everyone has different preferences when reading, but I find myself increasingly irritated after chapter 350. The other female characters, aside from the main female lead, become annoying after chapter 300. The MC seems to degrade into a mere entertainer for the girls, constantly solving their problems and having no time to enjoy himself. He’s always on high alert, dealing with the antagonist and plotting tricks.
There were some relaxing moments when the MC was with the cake shop manager (a female lead), but by chapter 350, the number of girls around the female lead increases, and those peaceful moments disappear.
The story is effectively ruined around chapter 350, becoming really annoying. If the MC can’t defeat his primary enemy by chapter 400, how much can anyone take?
I'm really engrossed in this. It's fascinating, and I enjoy the dynamic of switching viewpoints. Although it would be great if they could just have an open conversation, it's actually quite entertaining to see how they navigate their interactions and avoid direct communication.
Firstly, being a teenage enthusiast, I gravitate towards fast-paced stories with a touch of yandere-like male leads (ML) and slightly subdued but impressive female leads (FL).
The romance in this book unfolded at a slower pace compared to my usual reads. While they did enter a formal courtship around chapter 18, their love hadn't fully blossomed yet; it was more of a mutual exploration phase, which I found refreshing and realistic.
What struck me were the character's maturity – the FL had high standards for her future partner, desiring someone intelligent and educated. However, as a romantic teenager, I couldn't help but feel a slight disconnect, as she seemed to view marriage as a means to secure a comfortable life. That perspective doesn't resonate with my idealized notions of commitment.
As for the ML, he was undoubtedly mature, but he didn't quite capture my heart like some other MLs I've encountered. There's just something missing in our connection.
I thoroughly enjoyed the narrative. Both the main character (MC) and female lead (FL) faced challenging circumstances, but they refrained from dwelling on their misfortunes and diligently worked towards a brighter future. This admirable resilience endears them to me. The depth of their connection and care for one another was truly touching.
My sole critique pertains to the translation quality. While the language was generally understandable, there were areas with poor grammar, punctuation, and word choice that detracted from the overall reading experience. A more polished translation would have significantly enhanced my enjoyment. Nevertheless, I am grateful for the translated version being freely available, and I appreciate the translator's efforts. I genuinely hope they can refine their skills in the future <3.
