These slice-of-life, low-key narratives, where plot development is minimal, heavily rely on engaging and captivating characters to sustain the story. However, in this case, the main female character (FL) fails to impress; she's portrayed as the epitome of femininity, but her lack of depth is akin to unbleached flour. The male lead (ML)'s interest in her seems implausible – he falls for her simply because she's kind, without any genuine connection. Their chemistry is virtually nonexistent, and their interactions are平淡 and unengaging. Ultimately, I cannot continue with this story.
I initially intended to rate it 4.5 out of 5, but honesty compels me to say, this website leaves something to be desired. Despite its flaws, it stands as one of the top novels I've come across.
The main issue lies with the translation speed, which can be quite slow. The protagonist is relatable, and the story itself is entertaining. The waiting game might be frustrating, but at least updates are consistent, arriving daily. I find it amusing how some early reviews express frustration, but this novel has proven to be a long-lasting gem. In fact, it ranks among the best I've discovered after years of reading. If anything, I'd love to see a significant boost in translation efforts to expedite the process.
Looks good. Imma read it. As usual, 10 chapter rule.
WILL THE MC BE OP?
I just can not continue to read anymore. I am at 1159th chapter and I am done. Endless loops, endless battles and endless boring conspiracies. Story is well writen but bro please, qianye got lots of upgrades and inheritances and still too weak. I am sick of reading about BIGGER PICTURE.
At the beginning, I had doubts that it would be another clichéd, cringe-worthy tale where characters make sacrifices. I even considered giving up, but after reading the first 30 chapters, I've realized the premise is genuinely unique, and the characters have depth. The storyline has maintained a logical progression so far, although the ending remains uncertain. This is easily the most distinctive narrative I've come across lately.
The translation is solid, and the pacing keeps me engaged. Unlike some authors who tend to stretch out certain plot points, the author of this story maintains a brisk pace without unnecessary delays. For example, when the character Kania, the butler, uncovers a secret, I anticipated a drawn-out revelation, but to my surprise, it was revealed quite promptly.
