Dantesinferno
can somebody give me a better synopsis
I’m going to post my short review here, as I haven’t read enough to judge it fully. First of all, this is the work of an amateur, which is both this novels downfall and it’s defense. On the one hand, this is much worse than the authors future work (that being soul land, or dulao dao if I spelled that right), but it’s also the first one he wrote, and he has since had a couple decades of experience writing, and writing a lot too. From what I read (a bit into volume three) I rather liked it. I liked the MC even though he is simple, and I liked his relationship with his teachers. The story is very simple, which isn’t such a big deal. Sometimes simple is good. The action is a bit boring, but the magic is interesting.
All in all, decent at best, low quality at worst. Apparently, it gets worse, and I’d believe it considering it has the harem tag (which I didn’t notice until after I read so much). Not gonna address the author, who gets a lot of hate for various complicated reasons.
I wonder if there's actually any redeeming qualities for this novel since the first few chapters are way too cringe with their hacker bs and how the author always try to flatter MC's appearance to no end.
It is a good novel, its just way way way too outdated with the raws, with an awfully slow pace of releases (if any now days)
This is THE ONE, the novel I enjoyed enough to create an account just to rate it. (I’m currently on chapter 22 as of this review.)
Tired of flat characters? Confusing settings?? Too many shirts??? This might be the novel for you ;)
Jokes aside, my expectations were quite low when I started reading, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised so far. I really enjoy strong female leads who excel in survival scenarios. My other favorite novels in this genre include "Doomsday Ecstasy Cave" (NSFW, lol) and "I'm Stuck on a Remote Island with the Male Leads." While this novel doesn’t have enough chapters yet to rival the epic scale of those titles, it’s still a rare find in this genre that feels truly worth the read. I will definitely be sticking around for the rest of the ride.
I really appreciate filtering out the chaff by checking reviews before diving into a novel. So, I felt compelled to share my enjoyment of this one for anyone else like me who doesn’t want to jump into a novel without a heads-up :)
Also, I’m extremely pleased with the translation! Great work, translators, thank you!!!
One of my all-time favorite novels on the platform stands out. The harem elements aren't hastily thrown together; each love interest is a fully developed character with distinct personalities. The main character's humor is endearing, and he avoids the typical beta男主 stereotype without turning into an over-the-top psycho. He may be OP, but his growth keeps the story tension-filled. The dragon fight scene, in particular, had me on the edge of my seat, akin to an exciting manga or anime.
The storytelling has been consistently engaging and新鲜, even within the slice of life genre. It balances lighthearted moments with action and adventure seamlessly. I wholeheartedly recommend this novel – the translation is exceptional, with natural and hilarious dialogue that feels "Americanized" without detracting from the story. Some may have mixed feelings, but most reviewers praise the translation. Plus, the regular updates are a treat.
If you prefer visuals, there's also a well-executed manga adaptation that provides a solid introduction to the narrative. It covers most of the story, so you can easily continue where you left off if you choose to dive into the manga first. Overall, this novel is a gem worth checking out.
"Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough" is a thought-provoking novel that weaves a compelling narrative around personal growth, mentorship, and the transformative power of relationships. The story likely centers on a protagonist who, through their journey, learns not only to develop themselves but also to guide others towards self-improvement and success. It delves into the depths of human psychology, exploring the intricacies of mentor-mentee dynamics, and the profound impact one person can have on another's life.
The title itself suggests a focus on skill-building, resilience, and the cultivation of wisdom, with an emphasis on breaking through barriers both internally and externally. Each character's story serves as a microcosm of life's challenges and the importance of empathy, support, and self-discovery. As readers follow these characters' paths, they are likely to reflect on their own relationships, aspirations, and the role of guidance in shaping one's destiny.
The novel may incorporate themes of perseverance, adaptability, and the pursuit of excellence, encouraging readers to question their own beliefs and strategies for growth. Ultimately, "Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough" leaves a lasting impression by reminding us that our capacity to inspire and learn from others is just as crucial as our individual journeys. In a world where connection and collaboration are increasingly valued, this book offers a timely and inspiring testament to the power of human interaction and shared growth.
