A heartwarming tale of the female lead's rebirth and quest for vengeance following the injustices she faced in her previous life, such as her mother's murder, attempted assassinations, and ultimate demise. However, the story lacks depth in exploring the characters' backgrounds, resulting in occasional emptiness. It leans more towards a slapstick plot with the main characters rarely experiencing genuine danger.

The narrative often feels bizarre due to the predominantly young age of secondary characters, ranging from 14 years old and below. It seems the author either has limited experience with children or has portrayed them in an exaggeratedly dramatic manner, with sudden emotional swings and extreme behaviors.

The ending feels rushed, leaving readers with unanswered questions about plotlines that were introduced but never fully addressed. For instance:

1. We never get to meet the male masters the FL accumulated, despite her attraction to handsome men, as she remains in a child's body despite being mentally mature.
2. Her brother's fate is unclear.
3. What the FL did during her absence is unexplained.
4. The significance of her celestial journey, aiming for enlightenment, is left unexplored.

Overall, the story is decent, and the translators deserve credit for their commendable work. Although there were minor translation issues in earlier chapters, they did an excellent job, especially considering the language barrier. Their efforts prevented me from giving the story a lower rating.

The storyline is truly lackluster. If the translation hadn't been decent, I'd rate it a single star. The Protagonist starts off strong, but an omnipotent character makes the narrative somewhat monotonous. Despite being reborn, she lacks knowledge of the future, only knowing her mother and herself were killed by her father. She possesses medical expertise, martial arts skills, and various talents, along with an extensive spy network. This renders her seemingly more knowledgeable about national affairs than the emperor, which is amusingly ironic. Her ability to effortlessly make things happen makes the plot拖沓.

The only humorous and intriguing aspect is her acting, which provides some much-needed laughter.

As for the Male Lead (ML), it's not implausible for a country's crown prince to study medicine, but going to courtiers' homes secretly for treatment stretches credibility. Furthermore, a single encounter or two wouldn't justify a deep infatuation. The description of him as exceptionally handsome doesn't align with the fact that neither the emperor nor empress are portrayed as stunningly beautiful.

While the book might be passable if you're in need of something to read, the author seems to rush through the plot without providing adequate background. It focuses primarily on the leads, but the sudden shift in the father's concern after killing her feels illogical, and the grandmother's excessive worry is similarly unconvincing.

"White Lotus initially starts as a humorous imitation of 'Rebirth of an Unlucky Concubine' by the same author as 'Malicious Empress.' The protagonist, a daughter of a wealthy official and royal blood, is sent to the countryside following her mother's death, supposedly to pray for the family's fortune after a Taoist's false prophecy. The father, uninvested, is more concerned with his favored concubine's machinations, leading the protagonist to feel neglected and ill. The concubine's children become the favored children, and around 13 or 14, they return to seek revenge. In the typical revenge-rebirth narrative, the protagonist outwits the concubine and her eldest daughter.

White Lotus then takes the extreme aspects of such stories to new heights, though without the graphic violence seen in 'Ill-Fated Consort's'第一章. It's important to note that this story should not be taken seriously – it's a parody meant to be absurd. Initially, I might have dropped it, but I've come to appreciate it as an exaggerated parody, crossing the line into the realm of 'WTF' territory.

Here's a amusing excerpt from Chapter 7 describing the impact of the protagonist on the men she attracts:

'Cheng Tao's soft voice caused a rapid heartbeat, and she couldn't help but say, "Madam, the gentlemen you admired earlier reside in the mansion. They're so bored they've mastered all eighteen martial arts, and any attempt to bully you has resulted in them being punished until they're mentally broken. Madam, these individuals are becoming increasingly dangerous. If Imperial Doctor Shi were to join, I fear... that I..."

"What do you fear?" Su Mo Li looked at Cheng Tao puzzled.

Cheng Tao's eyes rolled back, her voice lifeless, "Young Master Chen used to be an artist, but now he paints on corpses. Young Master Li once embroidered, but now stitches on corpses. Young Master Ma, who was a carver, now carves exclusively on corpses. Madam, Imperial Doctor Shi saves lives, but I worry he may turn into a murderous fiend!"

This story rates around a 3.5 for me, but I'll round up for the sake of it."

The book was an entertaining read from beginning to end, offering a familiar yet unique twist on the "reincarnated for revenge" theme. It was engaging and presented with a lighthearted touch, relatively shorter compared to other similar novels, in my opinion. It would be fantastic if these additional details were fleshed out in either the main narrative or as side stories. I believe that would lead to more readers awarding this story a full five-star rating.

This fic may not be suitable for those seeking intense or romantic face-slapping storylines. If your goal is simply to entertain yourself and pass the time, it can serve its purpose, but there's no guarantee of enjoyment. The beginning was promising, with a decent setup and engaging characters. However, the plot involving peppermint becomes confusing around that point – logic seems to fade away, leaving readers to accept the illogical and just go along with it to avoid getting too frustrated. It's a decent distraction, but don't invest too much mental effort trying to decipher the narrative.
