“Traveling to the 70s with a System: The Cold-Faced Officer Spoils Me Crazy”

Su Ruanruan, a survivor of a zombie apocalypse, dies alongside the zombie king only to awaken in the body of a girl with the same name in 1970s China. She finds herself nailed inside a coffin, destined for a ghost marriage with a deceased man. A system activates, granting her a storage space and missions to collect seeds in preparation for a future apocalypse. Using a strength pill, she breaks free, incapacitates the Niu couple who attempted the ritual, and escapes into the night. She is rescued by Gu Yanting, a military battalion commander, after staging a scene on a road to draw attention to her pursuer. At the hospital, she clarifies her identity and secures the arrest of Niu Dali for his crimes.

Upon recovering, Su Ruanruan confronts her abusive adoptive parents, Su Youfu and Zhang Xiuzhen, discovering they are not her biological parents but had swapped her with their own daughter, Su Jiaojiao, who was raised by high-ranking officials. Su Ruanruan forces them to sign a severance agreement and beats her adoptive brother, Su Weijun, into submission. She reclaims her room and begins systematically looting her former home, using her system space to store food, money, and ration coupons. The system rewards her with additional storage capacity and pills as she collects seeds from the household pantry.

Su Jiaojiao returns with her brother, Su Jianguo, and attempts to manipulate Su Ruanruan into accepting a marriage arrangement with a corrupt factory director. The plan involves drugging Su Ruanruan to frame her for immorality. However, Su Ruanruan anticipates the trap, swaps the drugged soup, and uses her wood-type healing ability to neutralize the drug’s effects on the conspirators. When the Revolutionary Committee arrives, they discover Su Jiaojiao and Zhang Xiuzhen in compromising positions with the director. Su Jiaojiao falsely accuses Su Ruanruan, but Gu Yanting intervenes, presenting a commendation certificate that validates Su Ruanruan’s role in helping capture enemy spies.

The public exposure leads to the arrest and sentencing of Su Youfu, Zhang Xiuzhen, Su Jiaojiao, and the factory director. Su Youfu is also arrested for embezzlement after Su Ruanruan reveals a hidden ledger to the police. With her fake family removed, Su Ruanruan prepares for her assigned relocation to Hongqi Commune in Heilongjiang. She withdraws her savings, purchases supplies from the black market, and plants seeds in her system space to ensure food security. Gu Yanting provides her with contact information and rewards for her assistance in the spy case, solidifying an alliance between them as she departs for the countryside to survive the coming disaster.
