Since the translation quality is excellent, I've been following the chapters daily without reading the entire series. I'm writing this review after a recent chapter surprised me with a significant departure from my expectations (minor spoiler).

Initially, I thought it might be a misunderstanding or a joke, but it turned out to be genuine. The male lead (ML) apologized and vowed to treat MC better, but that doesn't excuse his actions. At the time I started, there was no mention of such content under the rape tag.

The story had been light and humorous up until then, with reviews suggesting a consistently loving relationship between MC and ML. However, that's not the case.

Should you still read the book? Absolutely. The story can still be engaging. However, I felt compelled to share this review because of the unexpected dark element in a "light-hearted" narrative. If you're intrigued by the concept, give it a try, but be aware that it's not entirely a heartwarming tale.

This cluelessness occasionally annoyed me, but looking back, it added a realism that I appreciated. He doesn't possess any extraordinary abilities, systems, or notes – he's just a regular guy. Plus, his emotional reaction to conflict, like crying instead of using his supposed 'Gary Stu' skills, felt genuine and refreshing.

The story itself isn't groundbreaking, but I genuinely enjoyed the MC's character. I appreciate a charming, yet self-aware protagonist who cares about others and recognizes his flaws, striving to improve. The male lead is also supportive, which makes it hard to dislike the MC. It's not perfect, but it's a decent read to pass the time.

The translation isn't terrible, but there's room for improvement. I'll come back once more chapters are available. Overall, it's a pretty good choice for casual reading.

Unbeknownst to him, she was under the influence later, and upon realizing the situation, he felt regretful. Once their mutual apprehension fades, Liu and Meng Meng's relationship displays a tender and cozy dynamic. Liu担忧 Meng Meng might hate him, suspecting her to be an undercover agent. Meanwhile, Meng Meng fears Liu's wrath, possibly due to plot points from the novel that he has forgotten.

I find myself unexpectedly enjoying this novel, which primarily revolves around the romantic relationship between the main character (MC) and the male lead (ML). The plot is straightforward, so if you're looking for a story filled with intricate twists and turns, this might not be your cup of tea.

On a personal note, I appreciate the MC. Initially, I feared it would be another clichéd, sweet character, but the author has done an excellent job in crafting a likable protagonist. The MC is an ordinary reader with a regular intellect, reflecting what a relatable young man should be in literature – someone who retains the big picture but not always the details, capable of skipping through the story without any extraordinary abilities. Despite this, he demonstrates a willingness to learn, positivity, and genuine warmth, which complements the ML well. The ML holds great respect for the MC, though the MC often struggles to navigate the intrigue around him due to his naivety (yet he finds his own ways to protect others).

The MC's character doesn't require being overly powerful or pull off impressive schemes; his authenticity contributes significantly to the narrative and supports the ML's growth. The way the MC expresses love to the ML is pure and heartfelt, showering him with affection openly and honestly, which resonates with the ML, who may have had enough of deceit and hidden insecurities.
