Jun Zhu, an ordinary man from reality, finds himself transmigrated into the body of Jiu Qing, a powerful and notorious celestial fox demon within a cultivation novel. Upon awakening in the Valley of a Hundred Demons, he discovers he is bound to a Villain’s Charisma System that demands he raise his character’s charisma score to one thousand and achieve a fulfilling ending to earn his return home. Refusing the system initially, he learns that failure means permanent death in this world, forcing him to comply with the mission. His primary objective is to infiltrate the life of Lu Yunzou, the novel’s protagonist, and become his closest confidant to alter the tragic fate destined for him. Lu Yunzou, currently a young cultivator recovering from severe injuries after being betrayed by his sect and pushed off Soul-Severing Cliff, is the key to Jun Zhu’s survival and success.

Jun Zhu locates the unconscious Lu Yunzou at the base of the cliff and brings him to a secluded cave to recover. Despite his cold demeanor and reluctance to engage emotionally, Jun Zhu tends to Lu Yunzou’s wounds and retrieves his stolen jade pendant from the attackers who had pursued him. As Lu Yunzou regains his strength, Jun Zhu attempts to build a rapport with him, carefully navigating the protagonist’s guarded nature. Lu Yunzou, grateful for the rescue but wary of further betrayal, remains distant. Jun Zhu recognizes that earning true trust will take time and resolves to proceed cautiously, avoiding any actions that might appear manipulative or overly deliberate. During this period, Jun Zhu also struggles with his new fox instincts, finding himself inexplicably drawn to chasing small animals, a trait that contrasts sharply with his human consciousness and the dignified image he wishes to maintain.

Their fragile peace is shattered when Mo Yao, a powerful and sadistic snake demon who harbors a deep hatred for Jiu Qing, tracks Jun Zhu down. Mo Yao confronts Jun Zhu in the Tuomi Mountains, engaging him in a fierce battle that leaves Jun Zhu severely injured. Unable to defeat Mo Yao, Jun Zhu is captured and forced to wear a magical collar that marks him as a prisoner. Mo Yao treats Jun Zhu with cruel humiliation, viewing him as a pet rather than an equal, and takes him to an inn in Feiyan City. While held captive in fox form, Jun Zhu escapes his room only to collide with Qi Hanshui, a gentle Taoist cultivator who intervenes when Murong Feixue, the daughter of Wan Jian Mountain’s sect master, attempts to capture the fox. Qi Hanshui’s kindness prompts Jun Zhu to offer a drop of his essence blood to heal the cultivator’s injuries before returning to Mo Yao, an act that subtly shifts Mo Yao’s perception of him.

The encounter with Qi Hanshui introduces a new variable into Jun Zhu’s mission. Murong Feixue, offended by the interruption and the injury to her subordinates, confronts Mo Yao, unaware of his true identity and power. Jun Zhu, observing the tension, realizes the complexity of the social dynamics around him. He remains under Mo Yao’s control but continues to plot his next moves, balancing the need to survive his captor’s wrath with the long-term goal of befriending Lu Yunzou. The story concludes with Jun Zhu navigating these dangerous relationships, aware that his path to altering the protagonist’s fate is fraught with peril from both human cultivators and demonic foes.

Heres my review after reading though the latest chapter...Overall this story is still in its eariler stages, but shows great potential. The MC as of now dosent quite have a clear goal, but given what ive read the author will given him sufficent motivation that any reader can accept and look forward to read for many chapters to come.In regards to romance/ harem its well thought and feels natural given the MCs circumstances he is put though for his different members. An example, the MC's first girl after waking up in his new bodyhe discovers already has feelings for him. He on the other hand just left his previous girlfirend and is conflicted on how to approach the situation. To top it off the previous "owners" feelings are still there and are there to stay. Now ask yourself if you were in his shoes knowing you wont see your previous girl, theres a new girl in front of you that has no flaws you can think what would you do? The world wont bend to your whim just because you still have lingering feelings. Naturally you must adapt given the curent situation and make the most of it. The cultivation system so far is well thought out and leaves room for growth. At the beginning it might be slower then some other stories so bare with it.I hope after reading it you decide to give it a go. 104 chapters are free to read so read those first before making a hasty desicion on weher you like this novel or not..
