Xia Tian, a thirty-something office worker from the modern era, dies after pulling an all-nighter and transmigrates into the body of a fifteen-year-old peasant girl with the same name. Xia Tian integrates herself into village life, befriending her neighbor Sister-in-law Yao and learning to gather firewood and wild vegetables. She discovers that Shen Nian suffers from a chronic, incurable illness, likely the result of a childhood poisoning, and becomes determined to find a cure for him. During a trip up the mountain to gather resources, she encounters a wild boar and faints from fear. This near-death experience triggers the awakening of a Spirit Spring Space, a supernatural ability common in transmigration stories. Inside the space, she finds a well with mysterious water that she tastes, hoping for some beneficial effect. The story follows her efforts to manage her new life, care for her ailing husband, and utilize her newly acquired golden finger to improve their circumstances in the Da Qian Dynasty.
