Su Qing awakens in the body of a novel heroine, finding herself in a compromising position next to a stranger after being drugged by her cousin, Ye Yun. A system in her mind reveals that Ye Yun orchestrated the incident to frame Su Qing and steal her husband, Mu Yao, the powerful head of a military region. Mu Yao discovers them and, believing Su Qing has been unfaithful, demands a divorce. Instead of breaking down as the original owner would have, Su Qing asserts her dominance, refusing to accept the false accusations and demanding proof.
Su Qing confronts Ye Yun, exposing her schemes and ordering her expulsion from the house. She then turns her attention to the household staff, firing those who disrespect her and establishing her authority as the matriarch. Her transformation intrigues Mu Yao, who begins to question his initial judgment of her. Meanwhile, Mu Yan, Mu Yao’s adopted son, who suffers from a mysterious illness triggered by emotional distress, is drawn to Su Qing. He discovers that her presence calms his condition and begins to view her as his true mother, forming an alliance with her against Ye Yun.
Ye Yun, unwilling to surrender, attempts to sabotage Su Qing further by infiltrating her room and stealing her clothes. Mu Yan overhears her confession to the framing plot and alerts his loyal servant, Yu Ge, to investigate. When Ye Yun confronts Su Qing again, Su Qing slaps her and reveals that she is wearing stolen clothing, leading to Ye Yun’s temporary dismissal of a maid. Despite the tension, Mu Yao agrees to accompany Su Qing to the hospital for medical tests to determine the truth about the drugging incident. As they prepare to leave, Mu Yan eagerly joins them, hoping to strengthen his bond with Su Qing and expose Ye Yun’s true nature once and for all.
