Ryo Kuroda, a 25 year old former police officer dismissed for his lack of physical strength, hoped to start fresh as a private detective. One night, he saved a very unnatural-looking cat from being chased by some eerie creatures. In return, the cat "blessed" him with a wish, “for more clients”. What sounded like a stroke of luck quickly became a never-ending nightmare, as his office was soon flooded with the strangest, most inexplicable cases imaginable.
With nothing but his sharp mind, stubbornness, and an ever-growing headache, Ryo is forced to navigate a world where the supernatural is very real and very troublesome. Either way, ever since that cat granted his wish, he barely has any peaceful day.
