The Transmigrated Female Lead’s Brain Was Kicked by a Donkey

Jiang Taohua, a modern woman who had just inherited a billion yuan, transmigrates into the body of a tragic female supporting character in a 1970s novel. The original Jiang Taohua was an abused orphan raised by a cruel stepmother and father, destined to suffer until her death. Upon arrival, Jiang Taohua discovers she is bound to System 001, which grants her a storage space filled with apocalypse-era supplies and the ability to hear the inner thoughts of the novel's female protagonist, Jian Mingyue. Jian Mingyue is also a transmigrator who knows the plot and is tasked with making Jiang Taohua cry ten times to win the male protagonist and a cash reward. Jiang Taohua, however, was born without tear ducts, rendering the mission impossible. Her primary goal becomes provoking Jian Mingyue to earn money and seeking a way to die by another's hand so she can return to the modern era.

During the train journey, Jiang Taohua encounters the novel's male protagonist, Shen Zhou, and the male supporting character, Yan Jinghong. She attempts to provoke a group of armed robbers into killing her to trigger her return home, but Yan Jinghong and Shen Zhou intervene, defeating the bandits. Jiang Taohua fails to die and continues to the Grape Gully Production Team. Upon arrival, she befriends Wen Shunu, another destined tragic character, and secures a better living situation by managing the household finances and cooking arrangements. Jian Mingyue arrives with Shen Zhou, attempting to follow the original plot to win his affection, but her malicious inner thoughts are constantly broadcast to those around her, causing her social standing to crumble.

As the group settles into rural life, Jiang Taohua uses her storage space to provide superior food and clothing, gaining the respect of the other educated youths. She continues to antagonize Jian Mingyue, earning money with every outburst of anger from the protagonist. The dynamic shifts as Shen Zhou, aware of Jian Mingyue's true thoughts, begins to reject her advances. Jiang Taohua's presence disrupts the original narrative, protecting Yan Jinghong from his canonical fate and altering the romantic trajectories of the main characters. The story follows Jiang Taohua as she builds a comfortable life in the countryside, systematically dismantling the schemes of the female protagonist while searching for a loophole in the System's rules to return to her own time.
