The Price of Satisfaction

Lu Cichuan is the bastard son of Lu Jun, raised in misery by the cruel Cheng Yanlin alongside his beloved sister, Lu Sheng. After their mother dies of grief, they endure abuse until Lu Cichuan meets Li Mo, a kind and radiant woman who lends him fifty million yuan to save his family from ruin. Grateful and smitten, Lu Cichuan builds a business empire with the Li family’s support, eventually marrying Li Mo and finding happiness. However, his past trauma and deep-seated insecurity regarding his status as a bastard child begin to poison his relationship. Meanwhile, Lu Cichuan learns that Xu He has been located and is undergoing plastic surgery to change his identity. The story shifts toward Lu Cichuan’s quest for redemption and justice. He must now confront Zhou Yanguan and expose the truth to clear Li Mo’s name, even though she is gone. The narrative explores the consequences of his actions and the hollow victory of knowing the truth too late. Lu Cichuan is left to live with the memory of Li Mo, while Sang Yuwan begins to heal and find new connections, and Lu Sheng strives to support her brother in his darkest hour.
