He offers her a position as the squad’s accompanying chef for an upcoming two-month mission to the Northern Forest. Although Lu Shiyu has never left the base and considers herself an ordinary person with no combat abilities, she eagerly accepts the offer, driven by a deep curiosity to see the outside world.

Tang Zeyu provides Lu Shiyu with a handbook on mutated organisms to help her prepare.
