Nightfall just like his teammates are average high school students, he wasn't the strongest like Grinder is, neither his he the smartest like midnight is, he's just kind of in the middle. Unlike his teammates when he first appeared in the game he had an additional stat; luck. The luck is what helped him when he looted the bronze greatsword from an ordinary wolf mob, and right now his luck stats are showing their powers again, he couldn't believe a random guess he made would actually be true, he felt so lucky.
